MBTI and Birth chart

How MBTI and Birth Charts Relate to Your Personality

MBTI and birth charts both explore personality traits but from different angles. MBTI categorizes based on psychological preferences, while birth charts analyze planetary positions at birth. Both offer insights into internal instincts and perceptions, helping to understand how inherent traits influence behavior and identity.

I was always wondering what was the correlation between this two and how one affected the other (if at all) .. What exactly determines our personality types and what dictates who and what are we.. And I'm not talking about external forces, solely based on internal instincts and the way we perceive the world around us.. Discuss !

"The Virgo intuitive tends to be more artistic and forward thinking than other Virgos. This type will see possibilities and what could be. They remain practical, but they always have a larger goal in mind. The Virgo intuitive has a sort of innocence about the world that they carry into each new situation."

I don't understand what you mean by "external forces"

studies on twins suggest that about 50% of someone personality is inhered or biologically related, so the other 50% is expected to come from environmental factors/upbringing.

the question would be what does astrology "measure" or what it is suppose to express in relation to personality, considering MTBI is self-reported, anyone that already know they chart would probably be predisposed to a specific type, which makes a rational discussion pretty inconvenient.

Imho

I think we’ve tried finding a correlation before and it was inconclusive. Shame because that would have been cool. I’m INFJ, my chart is scorp Dom etc

I'm Scorp Dom and am ENFP 🙃

Yeah I don’t think they match up, I just couldn’t be bothered to write out whole chart lol

I feel like my MBTI matches my Sag sun/moon/mercury moreso but Sag and Aries are tied for second dominant like barely a percent or so less than Scorp so...that may play a part lol

I've tested 4 times in my life. 3 INFP and last one INTP. I was stressed and trying to sort though some stuff during the INTP test.

I think Briggs test speaks towards your mentality and is by no means set in stone.

Edit: It wouldn't surprise me to find dominate ratings amount certain signs with people who use astrology. The majority pigeon hole themselves mentally with the knowledge of their placements.

very true and my point exactly.

I answered the questions with my gut rather then what I want to be, think I should be, or think I should do. Very useful tool for self evaluation.

Their is the black guy named Bryan Chambers on youtube who goes into great detail about each combinations strengths and weakness. I tested out my supposed weaknesses/challenges with that mindset and he was right LMAO.

Unfortunately, I just looked him up to give you a sample and he no longer does Briggs discussions. Surprisingly for the same reason I listed in the edit of my previous post. People are pigeonholing themselves. Dogma.

I like the P! Glad that stayed the same for me. I rate 43% extrovert and 57% introvert. I guess I'm a closet extrovert😁

I'm sure if I worked on my social skills and cured my foot in the mouth disease I would get that "I" changed as well.

What about you? Looking back at your former mentality can you pin point what changed?

I don't think a birth chart makes you a certain type.

Conceptually some signs might be more prone to be a certain type but that's it.

My mother and I have similiar charts but I'm ENTP while she is an ENFJ.

Agreed, We have same b-day, 4 or 5 placements the same.. yet I am INFJ, pretty sure MBTI is influenced by life experience vs the time or day someone is born . Just my take on it.

lol ya that's me. In my experience whether something is good or day depends more on the cause and effect then my personal feelings about it. If you think about it Shit happens and MOST of the time people don't intend to cause you harm or discomfort you just took it that way or it simply has that effect. Here is where my "F" in infp comes in: Even though I say this, I fully admit I still struggle with this when I get very stressed or emotional. The times were this wasn't a issue, I got kuddos from people seeing how I had handle my curve balls in life.

Edit: huh now that I think about it, it's the things and people that really matter to me are what get to me and have this effect. I'll work towards INTP. I'm sure I'll be happier.

😍 oh now who’s flattering who? 🥰 it’s just so rare to find someone with both classical intelligence and emotional intelligence too. Love being reminded that being smart and being kind are not mutually exclusive traits but rather they feed into each other 👌
