Cats only meow for humans. They taught themselves how to communicate with us. The "meow language" is not used between feline species.

The deadliest fish

Fugu (a.k.a. pufferfish) is a delicacy in Japan. Because of the lethal amounts of the poison tetrodotoxin that most species contain, only specially licensed chefs are allowed to prepare and serve fugu.

But that doesn't stop a lot of unlicensed amateurs from preparing, eating, and dying from fugu. No one's sure exactly how many die each year in Japan from fugu. Estimates range from a few to over a hundred. In 1975, famed kabuki actor Bando Mitsugoro VIII died soon after eating four servings of fugu liver (which is illegal to serve even for licensed chefs).

The few American restaurants that serve fugu serve farmed fugu, which does not contain any toxins. Nontoxic farmed fugu is now available in Japan, but my prediction is that it will never catch on: Eliminating the possibility of death takes all the fun out of it! LOL*

No, OLD JAKE; would never own deadly Fugi fish, actually never saw one; i did however own a sweet, rather unique tropical fish at one time..! 🙂 unfortuately his life-span wasn't the greatest..

...wow, a 3 second memory span for gold-fish; you're so right, that's like 2.5 seconds longer than most peeps..LOL! 😉

Hey, that's a pretty cool fact, Jake..i never knew that..LOL* 'i've also heard when a shark (Great White) is about to attack, it unhinges its jaws, so its teeth can protrude even further, assuring them victory over their prey. i'm not sure if it was the upper or lower jaw or both, though.'

Bats, like people, usually only have one baby at a time although on occasion they'll have twins.
