Dobrou noc.

I love this piece, too. Hypnothic and otherworldly but sharp in a certain way, as the whole film was for me.
Czechoslovak fairy-tales from 70s and 80s, their atmosphere... and music played significant part in it, like his.
I love the Czech cinema of the 60's and the 70's myself, I went through a phase like a decade ago where I saw anything I could get my hands on from that period provided it had English subtitles. The atmosphere, the creativity and the playfulness, it's like watching children's movies for adults. A few other of my favourites off the top of my head --
Daisies (1966)
Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970) duh!
The Cat Who Wore Sunglasses (1963)
Adele Hasn't Had Her Supper Yet (1977)
The Stolen Airship (1967)
(to dive into/surround yourself with)
Nina Simone - she would have been 83 years old today.
I am really enjoying her new releases. Beautiful.
