Pisces and Lying?

First off I like to say I like pisces.

My two twin sisters are pisces, you guys are very sweet individuals.

However what I found after living with my sisters for 20 years is they tell a lie here and there for the most insignificant little things. When I called them out on it, they would say sorry but would tell the same lie 2 weeks later.

I always asked them why they do it but they just reply they don't know. =/

I am not saying all pisces lie but I just don't understand WHY they do it.

Can someone shed some light in this? Is it natural instinct?

Oh and my sisters are NOT good liars....which is the other quesiton, why do something you are terrible at— -_-

Pisces people don't like others interferring/interupting our lives without us asking you for something ... if you bother us when we would prefer to keep to your own life and business ... then you get whatever you deserve.

So in general you are saying pisces are selfish because they can interfere with others lives but we can't interfere with theirs =/ and I don't think asking simple quesitons such as, "did you shovel the snow?" as interfering at all.


So I understand that pisces are secretive and wants to mind their own business, but instead of lying to it and me asking why the F are u lying to me when you could have said please don't ask me blah blah again.

That is what I don't understand.

Longer explanation:

Sometimes we don't want to offend people.
Sometimes we just don't feel like discussing something.
Sometimes, we live in an alternate reality and when it doesn't go right, we just act like it
never happened.

We probably are more prone to bending the truth than most signs.

We're want out way just as much as any other sign, we're just not necessarily as direct about it.

i think the Pisces lies are kinda cute, especially since they are so transparent and never seem malicious.

it may be a mutable thing since I know a Gem and Sag who lie their asses off as well. The Sag gets right pissed if she's called out but the Gem just switches her answer like the lie never escaped her mouth.

@lena, sorry if I offended you and the sign in general. I didn't mean it that way. I think at some point I got tired of asking why and never getting an answer from my sisters so I just assume it was prob something they just got used to. Again I agree with all others here that the pisces usually as my first post stated tell white little lies.

Not anything major as in comparison to cheaters or alcholics.

I think pisces make it very easy for others to tell them everything. They are just such gentle nice people. This might in turn get the other person thinking they can ask the same perhaps I don't know but it might be the case.

I think they have a term in psychology that if a person gives information, they expect some back even if you didn't ask for it! haha

Here's a concept .. stop trying to control, Capricorn, and maybe you will earn some respect. According to what you've written thus far, I would conclude that you haven't done anything to earn your Pisces sisters respect.

My sisters are twins but they look nothing alike, the youngest one has a silly face and the older one is more serious.

But when they smile, its like they have angels on their faces 😛

That is the problem so I think it is something they have gotten accustomed to meaning my sisters and not pisces in general.

even if you ask a pisces why they lie...you still may in fact get a lie to cover up that lie. you just have to let them BE in their alternate reality

I never said I didn't get along with my sisters so I really don't know where you are drawing this out of. The thread was created merely out of curiousity.

Plus I never spoken to KS before so not sure what you mean by backup because I didn't know her sign until she revealed more in her posts.

Luna - Look up the Law of Sufficient Motivation. Perhaps they lie because they are human and fallible like the rest of us. I'm an Aries and I have lied before, so I doubt Pisces is the only sign that lies. Just a thought...as you are part of the cycle of lying with them why don't you change something in your behavior to precipitate a change in theirs?

I am not saying all other signs are not liars, but simply put my sisters seem to do it again and again even when they are caught~think of it as the boy who cried wolf, eventually the villagers stop believing him.

Thats exactly what the problem of repeat lies, eventually I don't trust their word anymore- I seem to naturally take it with a grain with salt as per say.

They just don't seem to trust others a lot either and I don't even know where it stems from.

Naw the lying thing has been going on for a long time, not even me but my parents find it annoying too.

It is a annoying habit that they do and I don't know why they are doing it, I can't understand and my head itches.

That's why they can lie so easily because they can literally convince themselves that the lie is true.

However this refers to the un-evolved pisces who aren't aware of themselves and age, maturity, experience,etc could all play a part.

I like pisces but just like me and every other sign, they have flaws and lying seems to be one of them.

I know a whole family of pathological liars and none of em Pisces. (That statement is the truth so I "CAN" speak the truth, for those who dont think so)
Pisces lie in situations when we cant say no or dont wanna hurt no ones feelings, no is negative word so its hard for us to say, cause we can feel the hurtful vibe from a person coming before we say it.
We lie to keep our possessions. "hey man can I borrow this CD." "No.(instead of saying no I would lie)"
We lie when we playing around/goofing off, asked a stupid question, or if the answer around you/obvious. You="what time is it?" Me="3:03" (You turn around and see noon on the clock.)

I have no problems telling people no either .... apparantly the sister of the person who started this thread has no problem either, since the sister ignored the commands.

Pisces are pathological liars. At least the ones I've come across. It's really such an ugly character flaw about them. They're really good at it. You wouldn't pick up on it unless you've been around them for some time. But I think it's the reasons that they lie are what is hard to comprehend. And they are chameleons. They are whatever you want them to be or see them to be. They are one thing to you and another to someone else. I watch my cousin change depending on who she is around. But they are not all bad. But the bad ones are dangerous!

certains things i've done is truly unbelievable to most, so they just assume im lying..like the time i had sex for 4 hours straight with no breaks or burst nuts..i was in a gotdamn zone that night, plus add the fact that i drank a whole bottle of moet to myself..

I have a strange relationship with lying.

My mother is an Aquarius and she was in and out of my life so I was raised by my Virgo grandfather and my Leo grandmother.

My mother lied all of the time. When I was a child she'd be gone for six months and then come back and tell me about all these things she bought for me but how they were all on back order and they'd ship them soon. (I was about ten when I realized that Sears does, in fact, keep stock of items)So I became very astute at knowing when someone was lying to me.

This of course also caused me to be very mistrustful.

So my opinion on lying is such:

I will lie if it is a matter of protection. If I am protecting you or myself I will lie. Granted what I feel is worth protecting and what someone else feels is worth protecting are different things. I think long and hard before I lie. I think about what would happen if I told the truth. It's a flow chart to be honest. Something like:

Problem A > Can the person I am thinking of lying to do anything about stated problem? > No >Would they demand I take an action that would cause my life to be overly complicated or too difficult for the circumstance? >Yes > Lie.

I don't lie when someone asks me something I don't want to answer, instead I say, "Watermelon." They look at me funny and ask me if I heard their question or did I actually mean that to be the answer to which I simply reply, "Watermelon." If they don't let it go I tell them, "I am not comfortable with this conversation and if you persist I will simply make shit up so you leave me alone; tread carefully though these waters."

Now with all this being said - I cannot stand pathological or compulsive lying. It is VERY hard for me to deal with someone I know has lied to me about something that is insignificant (usually because they are trying to bolster themselves without knowing that really I prefer them to be flawed) and/or pointless and does not add to the entertainment value of our interaction.

So in short - all people lie.
If they tell you they don't lie - they are liars.
