Pisces in Cancer decan - why am I like this?

I've noticed I hold some incredibly strong cancer influences, and one is the way i side step when dating people. I met an absolutely amazing man on valentines day, couldn't out a foot wrong, yet a few days after I found my self disengaging from him and trying to avoid him. Now its been a couple more days and I'm really into him again. any other pisces in cancer like this?

I don't get this mentality at all but then I don't have any cancer placements in my chart

I know a 2nd decan Pisces with Mars in Cancer and he does have this tendency to be hot and cold now and then. I think it has to do with not knowing where you stand when it comes to a new person in your life that you don't trust yet. Self protection might cause it too, not wanting to step in yet because of the fear of getting hurt. But on the other hand, wanting to love and be loved can make you into someone again. Do you have any Cancer placements?

You hit the nail on the head I only do this why don't know where I stand with someone. So I do it to protect myself
