Yep, I was on it for a couple of months if I recall correctly. When I started forgetting simple things ( not to mention the durrrrhey feeling all the time ) I called done. My eldest girl has anxiety and bi-polar, my father suffers from anxiety issues as well, as does my sister. Oddly enough I was spared from that curse. Perhaps to help them when they're in need. There's always that med shifting for them to come up with what works best.
Amen. It truly was a light bulb moment for me when the diagnosis was made. A huge "AHHA!" Then it was all action woman with appointments and so on. Heaps o'joy with the school system who kept bringing up ADD/ADHD. It was like night and day. She's on a fast acting med on an as-needed basis for the anxiety and the doc is trying to get her to a good place with the other. She's almost 21 so she's managing all that business on her own now obviously, but I still like to keep tabs. My son is a very typical man-cave teenaged male. I keep covering him up as he's crashed on the couch tonight. I don't think a woman ever outgrows that. "Ooooo a sleeping dude, he needs covered up." A myth..*snort*. Oh no, it's very real alright. Everyone has someone in their family, and if you think you don't..it's YOU. LOL Doofus', they're not all sequestered on a discreet island somewhere.
