I've always wondered why the hebrew god deemed bottom feeders to be unclean? I mean at the time his peeps were roaming through the desert so why prohibit them from eating meat they weren't in contact with?
And if islam is an evolution of judaism and christianity, why do they say dogs are unclean but shellfish are ok? Or maybe I missed the passage about catfish?

How would I know? I don't follow those religions above. I eat what ever looks good and delicious no matter what the primary materials are.
Concept of eating is to get the energy, do you really care where that energy comes from.? Or you would rather die of hunger..?

Let me tell you where I am standing, Judaism is borrowed form the ancient Babylonian traditions and Persian Zarathustrianism here and there gathered together in form of one religion first oral then book later.
All these tree main stream religions linked together and at the end of the line we got Islam... Which supports/respect people of the book aka Judaism and Christianity, denying one then you denying the rest and it can not be changed.
