my moon, mercury and venus are in aries so yes, i'm blunt as fug and i makes no apologies for it. and yes, if it weren't for the taurus in me, i think i'd have imploded long ago.

venus is the type of taurus i'm used to though. completely oblivious to unnecessary dRaMA. the kind of person that can offer you a tuna sandwich and a glass of lemonade while everyone else is freakin the fug out. taurus is cooooooool yo!

i actually think i'm developing a crush on q-bone. i love a challenge...a man that is damn near unattainable. and what better than one who doesn't care about domestic violence (yet has 2 daughters), disregards overt racism in his own country, who believes the holocaust is propaganda and that US and americans are the scourge of the earth?...not to mention hates negroes.

you're an idiot. you know that right?

indentured servitude or slavery was common practice during that time amongst people of all races. it was invented by the greeks. white folks.

so for you to make such a statement without context is pretty pitiful on your part. africans didn't invent slavery jackass so if you want to educate someone, start with yourself.

people like you who argue this point are dangerously close to ignorance. your assertion would be akin to a pedophile in this day and age justifying his/her molestation of children by stating, "not too long ago in industrialized nations, a man could marry a 12 year old girl." yeah., THAT makes it ok then 😛

so yes james, africans did sell other africans that they captured during war times. just as the greeks did. as the romans did. as the celts did... the difference however is that unlike an african tribe bartering people for goods to another african tribe or greeks bartering their human conquests, black folks were regarded by whites as sub-human in a far more literal sense.

white slave owners made up wild stories about the darker-skinned people they encountered to demonize races of people and justify ill-treatment, subjugation, rape and murder back home. this occurred not just in africa, but in south america, north america and parts of asia as well. in fact, if it weren't for asian isolationism and xenophobia, a european nation would have enslaved people in china and japan too.

if you want to argue history, do so with a moticum of intelligence please because people will take the crap you just uttered and run with it. so like the pedophile, your argument may have some basis in truth and yet, you're both wrong.

i'd also like to add that the difference in white slavery of the past and black slavery was that white slaves were afforded rights. in some cases, little, in others, far more...but in most all cases, they had them. in addition, the children of white slaves could rise above their station even if their parents could/did not.

that's not the case with african slavery. once a slave, always a slave. your children and your children's children were treated as property at birth. they were afforded no rights or opportunity. they were beholden to their "masters" and any ill-treatment they suffered could not be argued before a magistrate. not the case with white slaves. a white slave that was ill-treated could bring their case before a judicial body and in some cases, were granted freedom. with african slaves that was not the case. i mean think about it...a man caught mistreating his neighbor's livestock could be brought up on charges...affording the livestock more rights than a human being with dark skin.

so please, do not insult my intelligence, trivialize or justify the system put in place by whites to kill the dreams, hopes, spirits and livelihood of millions of people throughout history just so you can score a few points on a damn message board. your day may be half over but i'm running on no sleep and you sooooo do not want to piss me off by playing dumb right now. or are you playing?

Plain grits are just so BLAND. I like garlic cheese grits or flip it round and have them with a pat of butter and honey or real maple syrup as a treat. I am sure your Grams cooks some amazing food. I like to do that with rice occasionally, cook it in a nice broth to infuse it with good flavor.
We call it blood sausage here. I've not tried it yet, is it good?

i have had traditional blood sausage. i think it's normally hard. uhm if you haved boudin which is the same thing, it's kinda squishy/mushy in texture in comparison to traditional sausage that stiffer.

i don't think it's readily available in my home state b/c growing up, none of my friends knew what the hell i was talking about. but whenever we'd visit family in NC, my gma would bring back boxes of it.

it's good with grits and eggs.
