Libra mom won’t get rid of my dads stuff

Why Is Your Libra Mom Holding On To Your Dad's Stuff

Your Libra mom may be holding on to your dad's belongings due to emotional attachment, a sense of fairness, or unresolved feelings. Libras value harmony and balance, which can lead to difficulty letting go of items connected to significant relationships or memories. Understanding her perspective can help address storage issues and emotional ties.

I gave her an estimate and it’s thousands in equipment and tools she took from my dad after divorce. It’s taking up so much storage space as she’s trying to renovate.

He cheated on her and she kicked him out. Also he’s not dead so to me it’s a bit weird.

Is she still holding on? She doesn’t even speak to him anymore. Dropped out of the families chat and everything when we got older.

Is it just out of spite?

I did wonder about that because he asked for it returned in the past. But she’s always had a problem with us using from it. It could be a screwdriver, she doesn’t want us using it too long and it must be put back in its place almost like she cares or she thinks he’ll come back for it. He just bought new stuff. Also half the stuff are large power tools we can’t even use

Does she tell you how she feels regarding their separation?

Hmm I never asked. It was so long ago. My dad talks about her all the time when I visit but it’s the opposite with her.

maybe it's a control thing? i mean it IS a cardinal. my cap sun/libra moon gran is the same with me and my dad's stuff (he recently died). it's weird tho coz she won't let me get a hold of them. ofc i brought some of my stuff with me when i moved out a few years ago but she now refuses to let me get the rest of them. i'm just so done dealing with her when she told me that the valuable books that my dad gifted me were 'eaten.' prob wouldn't have happened if she didn't selfishly horde them. my libra uncle too tried to coerce me to give him one of my dad's gifts to me. i've decided to just cut them off for good. libra oddly comes off to me as a very entitled, self-centered energy which is something you'd expect from aries 🤔🤔

She's using it as leverage or "get-back".

In other words, "you hurt me, so now I have possession of things you need. I will not return them because you shouldn't have hurt me."

Yeah, I'm guessing it's a lot to unpack. People hoard for different reasons. Sometimes, it's the inability to accept the changes with depression present sweet nostalgia, etc,.

True

A lot of those hoarding shows illustrate how the people who hoard do so because they have lost people/pets they loved.

I have kept a lot of my dad’s stuff who passed 11 yrs ago. It feels disloyal somehow to get rid of it although I’m sure he wouldn’t give a shit 😂

Is it just his things or is she a hoarder in general? My ex took most of our things. I still have some things that I was supposed to pick up from him but I forgot about it and then it became too late to reach out just to get it lol.

Maybe she thinks she can attract a new man with a shed full of tools. My dads partner bought a big bar chainsaw that's way too much for her and then needed my dad to come chainsaw things up with it and he never left, clever move.

it's normal, some people can't get rid of things in the house because it has become their structure.

That's why a lot of people become hoarders after a breakup or after a death. They're attached to their own past among the stuff

Petty shit. Even if some dumb bitch cheated on me, I'd give her all her worthless stuff back, and pay her bills off on my way out as a power move. Last thing I want to do is keep some sad worthless persons stuff. They can take all their shit, and the horse they rode in on too. I want nothing to do with any of it tbh. Don't care how much it's worth. I have more pride then that.
