Aquarius Male/Leo Woman Relationship-Confused?

Hi, I'm new to the board! I am looking to try and gain some insight into Aquarius men and relationships. Any help would be appreciated.

About a year ago, I got divorced after almost 10 years of marriage. Then, five months ago I started talking to an Aquarius male. It was someone that I "knew of" through friends but I hadn't ever really talked to him before. I wasn't looking for anything serious but we seemed to hit it off instantly. We had a strong chemistry and we would talk for hours on the phone. I quickly became interested in him and I knew he felt the same way about me.

I have a daughter from my marriage, so of course I wanted to take things slow and I knew that I wouldn't introduce her to any man until later on into the relationship once I knew for sure. After a multiple dates, we started seeing each other at night a few times a week after my daughter was asleep. We talk multiple times on the phone every day and text well.

The relationship has pretty much stayed the same since that time. At Christmas, he bought me (to my surprise) jewelry which I wasn't expecting. I thought that maybe it meant he was ready to slowly move forward...possibly meet my daughter and start down the path of meeting each other's family, etc. A few weeks have now went by since Christmas and everything is still the same. I'm afraid we are stuck in this type of relationship. I've read that Aquarius' take things extremely slow, can be distant, etc. but I don't know whether it is just going to be slow going relationship or if this relationship might not have a future. I've never dated an Aquarius (usually Sagitarrius or Pisces) so this is completely new to me. Thoughts?

@OP-Hm both are fixed fire or air sun signs. I think the fixed fire is going to get tired of the fixed air. It's too much hot and cold, stubbornness, and passion. And not enough compromise, adaptation, and communication.

Because you're feeling and doubts with Aquarius, he might blow cold when heart felt situation are important to you but not him. And I am not sure if you want him around your kiddo at all. Just be friends and see.

Thanks for your input! I guess I am just not sure how long I should sit back and wait. Of course, I think he's worth it but I don't want to spend all this time waiting if we're not on the same page. However, I can never get him to really express his feelings to find out. UGH!

If you don't know the time of birth, use 12 noon for a good approximate .

Well it helps a little...lol

Rising sign isn't super helpful because you're sort of past the first impression stage. Mercury mars and venus really will play a big part in this because that's where how you feel and interact in relationships and sex pretty much come from thise three.

On sun signs alone, opposites attract so it's either phenomenal or a trainwreck.

With his aqua sun and scorpio moon, you're dealing with a super intense yet pensive guy. Aqua alone is aloof, and scorpio (especially one who's been burned) is going to be very cautious to jump.

Very little between your suns and moons look particularly compatible, but Leo with both aqua and scorpio are a very hot combo. That in itself could be scaring the crap out of your guy.

If you can get the other placements for you both it will be easier to see what's going on.

So I'm at lunch now and have a little bit of time to tell you about me and mine.

But I think in the case of opposite or square relationships, other more supportive placements are needed to sort of mellow out yiur natural responses to each other.

Also, I think especially with Aqua the love and communication placements will have a strong effect on their sun.

Even with that, my Aqua and my placements have a lot of squares and opposites in them (when put together) and it's been a real learning experience, and not one for the faint of heart.

He has Aqua sun, Taurus moon, Aries mars and Aqua venus. I have Leo sun, Capricorn moon, Leo mars, and Libra venus. His aloof and standoff-ishness was really difficult to deal with. We saw each other once a week for 10 years, and as much as I wanted to talk about our relationship and his feelings, the resistance to open up was palpable. I knew he loved me but he couldn't come out and say it. He never asked me questions about myself--he just focused on the things we had in common and enjoyed the time we spent together.

I won't go into great detail, but the first 5 years were very toxic. His inattentive and almost dismissive attitude towards anything very deep was maddening to me. We fought a lot. But my Libra was so attracted to his Aries that I couldn't walk away.

I doubt you'll have much of that with your aqua, but it may take a longer time than you're comfortable with in terms of getting more serious.

One thing we Leos do is move quickly,, or at least we know what we want much faster than other signs and once we know, we want to get down to business. Aqua absolutely is the opposite. As soon as they feel any pressure, they'll run, even if their intentions are the same as yours, they want the control and will rip it from you in a heartbeat. I never intended to pressure mine, I just wanted him to talk. Once I decided to totally go with the flow, he started opening up.

But be sure that everything will happen when HE's good and ready. And that can take quite a while.

I'd be curious to know his other placements, as well. I've dated an Aqua sun, scorp moon before and he was very forward with verbalizing his feelings towards me. I always knew where he stood. But, he definitely did things on his own terms. If you like to make the rules, you might have to fight for it. You definitely won't be able to change his behavior. Make sure you're willing to take him as he is.
