I really like this cancer guy, and I'm a scorpio! There's almost a 10 year difference between us, but we always get along! I met him 2 years ago at our locate grocery store! At the time I had a boyfriend that I just hooked up with. He gave me his number and website! A year later I contacted him. Ever since I contacted him we had a friendship where we would say hello to one another every few months, but nothing more because I had a boyfriend! Around the end of May 2008 he invited me to his house. I visited him for a hour or 2 and then left! A few weeks later he sent me a text message and that day my boyfriend broke up with me. So when he asked me how I had been doing, I told him I was ok, but my boyfriend broke up with me! To make this short, we started hangout more and seeing eachother! By his actions I knew that he liked me but he NEVER would come out and say anything! Remember he's a cancer! Recently I felt like we were getting close and I sent him a text basically saying that in so many words. I sent him the text last Saturday night and haven't heard anything from him. Its been 9 days since we talked. I don't know what to think or what to do because the last time I was at my house he held my hand for a while and he's never done that before. He always does sweet things, but its always different things! We have never gone out anywhere, just to his house. My problem is that we never go out and I don't know how he really feels cause he's never told me and this has been going on since the beginning of June. Also, he only works and barely has time to do anything! Since he's a cancer man, what do I do to get his attention—? Are there ways to get him to make time for me? Or do I avoid him and are where it goes—

Thank you!!! I can believe that, and with their insecurity problem that sounds normal to let them think about what they need! Its confusing because when I'm at his house, he always does stuff like tell me how attractive I am, and tells me how smart he thinks I am, or he'll do little things like rub my back without me asking, and just hold my hand and cuddle with me and we'll laugh! Thing is, is that if we have this chemistry and he does those things, why is he acting so weird? The stuff that he was doing, does it seem to you like he really liked me— And maybe he's scared to tell me how he feels— Do know how cancer men work!! 😉

Ok, his birthday is June 21, 1977 and was born in south Carolina! I talked to him today and he told me that he really, really liked me but wasn't wanting a girlfriend right now bc he's trying to get his stuff straight. He also told me that I could possibly be his wife one day! He is very busy but he's one of those guys that wants his life to be perfect before he make any moves. He wants the things that come along with being boyfriend and girlfriend, but he doesn't want a committment.what is he about?? Does he really like me and could be truly busy??

You need to relax..I can feel your intensity from here.

I am also a Scorp woman dealing with cancer/gemini (27 June)...you have to prepare yourself for a lot of push/pull. Let him come to you. Don't obsess you will only scare him away. You've done your part, he seems interested..he's just trying to sort things out in his own head..busy is just an excuse in my opinion. When they are on the chase, busy is never an excuse then!!

As a scorpio, I know how desperately we need to know everything. However, people work at different speeds and in different ways. He's probably sorting things out in his own head and like a true crab, goes into his shell to recouperate or something to that effect. you do have to be gentle and patient with these guys.

I am quite aggressive and I think our phone conversations for the past 2 days may have scared him away. I can be rather abrupt..My gut is telling me something is wrong. So lets just wait and see..no point getting all worked up about it.

Oh yes, and they do want everything to be perfect. I hate that too!!!...

Well, it does sound like I'm going crazy on this message board but truly, he's is a music producer and he travels constantly, he's trying to sell his home😢 so I see he has a lot on his plate. I don't call him, I text him but not too much. I usually wait until he text me. I'm not one of those girls that blows up anyones phone, not even his. What's funny is that he says he has to put things in order, but If I meantion an ex boyfriend, he says stuff like, I DON'T want to hear about him. I'm like, ok! Lol! Once he told me that he's not wanting a relationship until he has things in order, I have left it alone bc it crushed me at first, but now I'm just feel like, whatever. I don't even stress about him anymore, but at the same time I do like him and I don't want to lose interest bc once I do, its difficult for me to go back to the old feelings I had for that person if he does come around! Usually months and months! Also, if I start talking to someone else, I think it would hurt him, but what would you do if you were me? You sound like me. When I feel something is wrong..my feelings will also subside. I like consistency and at the beginning it was..now its kinda spread out. Hang on in there..your one sounds like he means it. You are doing the right thing by not chasing. Let him come to you. He does seem like he has a busy life so don't fret too much babe. I know what you mean about the waiting game, I hate it also. I see, I want, I get is my mottoe...Patience doesn't even fall into my life vocabulary but you must be patient..that is one lesson scorpio women must learn..not everything happens at their pace..Unfortunately my controlling side comes out at times and I feel its quite overpowering..I have to tame it because it scares too many people away.

Trying to figure out what a cancer wants when they don't even know themselves is quite the task. Just be yourself..don't try and work him out. Go with the flow. I hate that but what other choice is there...at the end of the day, you must put yourself first.

Thanks! Ok, I saw him on Thursday night and the conversation was about the relationship and him not being ready. I told him that i can't get hurt because I think he'll hurt me and he said he never would. So yesterday I was out and he texted me asking me what I did for Halloween and we talked for a quick second over text messages. Then later on in the evening I asked him what he was doing and basically he was working so we only texted for a few then too. Him and I only talk every other day or every few days an its only a few text and then he's gone!!!! Lol!! I see him one time almost everytime he's in town. Its ridiculous! Lol! There's also one little problem... My ex boyfriend.. Ever since we have broken up which its been 5 months, he's still fighting for me... I feel stuck. You know how difficult it is for scorpios to watch someone hurt so we fe?l bad if we have to choose... I really like the new guy and him and I have been close since me and my ex broke up. How long have you and your cancer been talking?? Why did you guys get irritated with the last conversation? Cancers are moody! Ok, what I notice with the cancer I'm talking to is that once I brought up the fact that I thought we were getting closer and I asked him if he saw us moving further, GIRL, I didn't hear from him for 2 weeks... He claimed that he had been out of town and I believe he was, but that was his excuse for not having anything to say about the question I asked him. I think that If they like you atleast, and you guys have a good friendship, he may get mad about conversations because they don't like to talk about emotional stuff unless they're ready, then he will come around but it might be sometime which it hurts cause its like, how can you go 2 weeks without talking to me and you've never done that before. Oh its early days for us. We've only met twice. Known each other about a month and a bit. He came on reeeeeally strong at the beginning..soo many phonecalls etc etc..words of endearment..and now he's gone a bit quiet. I spoke to him yesterday so its not like the end of the world..He may just have things on his mind. I am not going to try and work him out. But us Scorps can "feel" when something is wrong..and my intuition is pretty damn strong. I just feel he's thinking about something right now..and thats why he's not communicating..and yes they can be moody..in fact they created the word moody.

Well I phoned him and he didn't pick up..then he phoned me twice and I wasn't there...so I called back then he wasn't there..gawd..lol..so now he phoned me back and we spoke for about an hour and half. He's just not having a great time right now. Is worried about work. Looong story but I helped him talk things through and he's ok. You know what Cancers are like born worriers. He worries about the slightest thing.
He's just got a few big decisions to make and doesn't know which way to go so i just listened to him vent and then we both discussed and now everything is ok. We don't text..we talk..thats the best way. Texting is no way to start a relationship. You have to talk and meet.

Had he not called or texted back, I would've just left it. If someone doesn't return my phonecall it's just plain rude in my opinion. Afterall, if someone asked you a question one on one, you wouldn't just get up and leave would you?

I'm just gonna let him come to me! I think its better when he text and I text back, but I want him to know that he's not my main priority! I wanted to move alittle further, but he's not ready so I respect that 110% so I'm just gonna chill out! He will come around when he's ready! And as far as the phone thing, if someor doesn't return your phone call, I think its rude also.

ok ,i didn't read all the replies but i'm telling you something.one of my friends is a cancer and the last relationship he's been through (with an aries girl) she would ask him what his feelings were since the second date - big NO NO.He was kind of turned off by that.He told me he can't have feelings for someone he doesn't have an emotional connection first.Plus he always told me how he'd like to find a girl with whom he'd have a lot in common, to the point of sleeping hours or lunch hours, favorite shows, hobbies etc.He loves to cook and his current aries girl hates to eat - so go figure 😛
I think cancers need familiarity in order to feel comfortable and let themselves fall in love with you🙂.that and trust 🙂

Lol!! Well, I have stopped texting him! Sometimes I would text him and tell him hello, but i've stopped and now he text me everyday. I guess he'll do it on his own time, but I have moved on with my life and if he decides to come around and I'm not in a serious relationship, then that's great, but if not, too bad! He is a busy man and I'm in no hurry for a relationship, but its evident to me that he's hoping I wait, but he wants to do everything when he's ready! I will never speak on emotional subjects with him ever again. If he wants to, he can and I will then talk back! I still like him, but i've moved back 3 steps as far as he's concerned because I'm not gonna let myself get hurt. He's a nice guy but ima sit back and let him make all the moves!!! 😉
