He seems to have more earth/water influences in his chart and generally speaking, at least from my experiences, people with a good amount of water/earth tend to be on the shy side and might take a while to open up to people. The cancer venus and leo mars almost contradict each other since one is so direct and the other more passive. On one hand he can be vibrant, daring, independent but on the other emotionally vulnerable and sensitive which is a side he might not want anyone knowing about! Lol He might take a bit to open up to you but eventually he will once he feels more confortable and secure.
