Scorpio and Cancer Moons

My best guy friend of 5 years is a Scorpio Moon, I am a Cancer Moon. Last year we decided we'd just start hooking up for the fun of it, but then we decided to end it cause we didn't want to get caught up in our feelings for each other. We stopped talking for about 8 months and then he texted me during the school year to see how I was doing. Throughout our friendship we would meet up every Sunday to talk about our lives, so once he started texting me agina we started to do this again (talk every Sunday). We go to different colleges so we would call each other and talk. We live in the same hometown though, so during the summer we were together. In early May he told me he couldn't hold back his feelings for me anymore and I told him I needed time to think. He waited 3 weeks before I contacted him and told him I felt the same. As soon as summer started we were completely inseparable, and he told me he was in love with me. We started dating and told each other we loved each other every day, went on dates, stayed in and snuggled a lot, (obviously had sex a lot). And then one day, I just got really emotional and needy and I felt like he wasn't trying so I broke up with him and he didn't fight back for it. We both cried a lot and then he left. The next day we met up to give stuff back, and it was like we were best friends still but I could tell he was holding back. After that I gave him a few days and then we met up and I gave him homemade cookies, and I tried to give him his shirt back but he wanted me to keep it and so I gave him a shirt of mine that I knew he liked. After he didn't talk to me for a few days I became desperate and wrote him an apology/love letter, but no response. The next day I saw him at a party and I was too messed up to go talk to him but he kept staring at me... he was messed up too though. He is generally a quiet person unless you know him though. After that we didn't talk, but we're both going back to different schools now and I wanted to say bye to him, so I texted him and asked if he'd like to hangout sometime before we left and he was like:

"Do you wanna treetrunk"

"No, We're friends"

"Then quit trying to treetrunk mine"

"I'm not, would you want to talk about this in person"

"treetrunk No. I'm so done"

And we haven't talked since. Also, I have not even been talking to his friends. One of his friend's brother's who I have been better friends with throughout the years started coming to me for girl problems.
