What do s and a stand for?
those are great.
venus-mars aspect is my fav aspect in synastry.
How does one even read this? I can never get my head around houses and degrees and conjunctions..please school me!

It simply means the orb? Applying means it's close enough to have a real, effect, officially?
Double whammies are nice. It means you both feel the effect, not just one person.
Since you have your planets in her 8th house, you'd have insight into her psyche, what she needs, and a deep part of herself.
If I were you, I'd look up venus and mars 8th house synastry. I'd also look up "venus 8th house synastry lindaland" for example so I can read other people's experiences with that.
For you, she has her venus in your 12th and mars your 1st. Venus in your 12th means she can see the skeletons in your closet and what keeps you from having a fulfilling relationship. She can also be an enabler without being aware of it because she sees something that you haven't realized, that she feels would make you happy. For my experience being venus in someone's 12th, I wanted the best for him and for him to be happy, even if we weren't together anymore. Seeing him more active on social media and pursuing a career that I feel is meant for him makes me happy, even if it's for show of revenge.
