Would you let someone go if they're not emotional?

So would you be with someone who wasn't emotional? Or do you need it?

And yes you can have everything in a person except emotional...I disagree but what do you think...

Here is a scenario-but took care of you, made you laugh, went places with, cooked dinner for you, kinda not a handy man but maybe physically attractive, and more than anything mentally attractive..but they have goals, job, car, and place of their own...

So how long can you go without displaying emotions? Is it suppose to be right away or does it take time?

I prefer someone who isn't emotional. When people are emotional they expect you to be emotional, too, which is stressful to me. I would rather talk about the weather than how much i *love* someone, which doesnt mean I don't care about them. Maybe I'd tell them once.

people don't always outwardly express emotions, sometimes people who seem "cool" are the ones feeling the most. I am very "controlled" but feel things deeply. If you are inquiring about a male he could be feeling things deeply or he may not be feeling them at all even though you are. Romantic Feelings are not always mutual, if you step back you may find out but its Best not to assume anything until he expresses his feelings and backs it up with action to support them.

. so now I am learning I detach rather quickly and step down until that person opens up.

I only been hurt once by my ex aries bff. I swore I would not get married or have kids...that's all it took for me to how I am..I'll open up and be honest but not always best. like secretly I am always looking for the opposite of that pessimistic side about relationships can be great..

Air- some Gemini males want dominant ones but the one time I met a Gemini for the first time after years of my bad experience. The Gemini male was uppity..he was the first person to have met.. ill tell you he is a Taurus/Gemini cusper.. and he wanted me to lead everything, but I want them to too.. I just kinda got nervous around him.. eventually after a couple 6 months-1 year of being friends..it was just physical attraction only..

UW...If you're passions frighten a person away they're not for you! As a rule of thumb its best to think first (in regards to potential romantic partners) before dedicating your sensitive, emotional feelings...your heart. I learned this the hard way. After years of unsuccessfully chasing after males who where not available to me emotionally I allowed my partner to persue me and took my time opening up to him. Because he is a scorpio he always told me he sensed my strong emotions. Guys will play terrible games to get you to chase them, even tell you that they like to be chased. It just makes it easy for them and they lose interest fast. Stepping back and allowing is Best if you're a woman, I don't know any of my married or partnered female friends who have persued their partner except for one who financially supports him but hes leaving her for someone he persued. Unfortunately mother nature still dictates the balance of things at a fundamental level.

that's why it never went anywhere... he wanted you to lead... major red flag.

No, but if they were too emotional I wouldn't want to be around them as much.
Can go a really long time without either of us displaying a lot of emotions to each other.
Since most people have them it's just a matter of time for either one to understand the others or express their own. Gem everything, almost.

I'm a cap sun & moon with pisces venus and aqua mars. Mercury is in cap also.. I'm so emotional, people are the ones letting me go. Apparently i'm too emotional & controlling lol. I feel that everyone takes advantage of me when I open up.

I too had this issue when I was younger. You can clearly see my emotions on my face, I have developed a very good poker face so as not to be targeted and more importantly I now allow my emotions to take a back seat to logical thinking.

Im slow on the open up,and it comes in the form of little layers at a time.I require alot of trust.I show most of my emotional side through actions and deeds and my loyalty.The sheer fact that Im their spending time with them shows it.

If it's matters of the heart, like love or security, a little emotion from time to time doesn't hurt, if you can express it in a way you know I'll understand then I'm all for. But anything else, I'd rather keep things light.

I'm a gemini and dating a virgo man going on 5 months. I get mixed singles all the time which seems to be the norm with virgos. I don't get very emotional with him or talk about my feelings. I do feel that we are missing something in our relationship and I think the no emotions from him is what it is. I'm trying to deal with on my own but I wouldn't end it due to that reason. I'm hoping he will open up to me in time.

We were at a holiday party a few weeks back with several several drinks and I mentioned to him that I loved him. He said it back to me also but insecure in our relationship.

My feelings are my personal way of showing you through action. The feeling of cooking for each other makes me happy, , the feeling of cracking jokes without getting butt hurt makes me less intimidating towards you, the feeling or action when you show distance, I automatically get into guard mode Nd become less emotional and feelings towards you push me away.

Thanks to birth control my hormones aren't functional at the moment but as soon as it wears off. OMG. So all I have is emotion through my mood swings which is in Aquarius moon. And it varies in consistently at times. But I know what I want though, which cause me to be either moody, sensitive, angry, sexual, and best of all I am at least 95% happiness with a serene outlook in my life.

I couldn't be with someone that didn't show emotions. I don't want some cry baby, though. I do need the emotional connection. So I wouldn't need to let them go b/c they would never get their foot in the door.

Hm death- I disagree with that because just because someone has been burned bad doesn't mean they will always be cold hearted towards you. I think the guard rails are up so tight with most people, and it just takes a really great person with great character to see their mind, soul, and heart are beautiful and once I or we see that connection.. you can tell when I like or love you and will let you in 100 percent whole heartedly.

Although, It might take awhile cause I am patient, and easy going, not in a hurry. But usually you can just tell..not psychopathic by any means.

I've met people described like this. Not once have I had a difficult time in lightening the situation with humor. Maybe it's because I feel what they are feeling, and go with my gut.

Regarding dating someone like this...if after a awhile they don't lighten up especially since I am a very open and empathetic person I'll walk but not first without telling them WHY.

It's not anyone's job to fix someone who doesn't want to deal with their own crap. Not only that, people who choose to remain closed off do not belong in the dating world and by no means ready for a relationship. Always give the benefit of the doubt though, give it time and don't assume. Otherwise you'll end up like the person you are dealing with.

Nor should you EXPECT anyone to cater to what you describe here^^^ If you have that expectation, I guarantee you any guy will walk unless he's a narcissist and will use it against you.

What I mean about showing emotions, is really what I mean. You can just look at my facial expressions to give you an idea of what my mood is. When something is wrong, when I am pissed, when I am down, when I am happy or sad, when I am a peace. When I am stressed. I hold nothing bAck with my emotions which is self image. My image is serene and I keep it cool all day, everyday.. when I have stress. I smoke cigarettes.

Well I opened up some fucking emotions and I get I'm married after 8 months of hot and cold stupid shit. After him telling me he was single.. he's married and it's drama and I don't fuck with marriage....I should of trusted my instinct from the beginning. If I ever thought a person I knew was "unemotional" then I would know for a fact that I know nothing about that person. I do not believe it's possible to be "unemotional" unless I guess, if one were a true sociopath. Okay those cats prolly have no feelings or compassion. But we misunderstand and misinterpret each other all the time. What you're really referring to here is communication styles. The so-called unemotional person is simply reserved. And it's often those "types" who are the most emotional, who "feel so much" once you know them. You can't judge a book by its cover. Life's a flowing mystery and don't be so sure you know where the wild wind blows.
