And while I don't disagree with your point, it's also (in my opinion) just as abhorrent to bring a child into this world and then abandon it to be raised within the foster care system/on the street or other forms of neglect. With your same argument, it's not "fair" that the child would be brought into such an unfortunate set of circumstances either. It's not "fair" that they have to suffer and live in abject poverty either. I won't further debate this situation/matter, because as we all know, we all feel/think what we feel/think, and I'm NOT trying to dissuade or change anyone's mind. What I speak is how I feel, not anyone else.

Last response, I agree - there are A LOT of birth control options, and still some people find that they are with child even when using them properly because as we know (and Dy pointed out) there is no 100% sure fire birth control EXCEPT abstinence.

I don't really think it's anyone's buisness. Every Woman who is in that Situation has to decide on her own. It's her choice, it's her child, her body and her decision. It should be respected. I just realized it cut me off.
I don't know what world you people live in that you think women give their kids up for adoption, and some wonderful loving family comes in and takes the baby and gives it the wonderful life he/shes mother always wanted for them. Awww how sweet.
But NO. That is total bullshit.. aka the exception. The reality is, that child goes from foster home to foster home (where most of the foster parents are only in it for the money) where they are severely neglected and abused. And guess what? They tend to grow up and repeat those nasty cycles.

1. Are you FOR abortion? - Absolutely not. There's no other way to slice it- abortion is wrong, immoral and arrogant to think it is within the realm of human power to end a life.
2. Are you AGAINST abortion? Yes. I think silence on this matter is tactic approval of what is ultimately sanctioned murder.
3. For those in the middle (Disagree with it but see abortion as JUSTIFIED ONLY in certain situations), what do you guys consider to be "EXTREME" circumstances for which abortions are worth considering? (Ex: rape)
Extreme circumstances such as rape, etc. are what they are. They are often complex, with no easy solutions. But in the name of granting mercy or understanding to what is extreme, should we compromise principles and set the bar lower?
Usually when this happens as a matter of public policy, it is used as a LICENSE to justify behavior that otherwise would have some kind of a lid on it, if only a social stigma.
In this case, that translates into abortion being used as a kind of expedient contraception - and it gets couched in language like "a woman's right to choose."

There are not as many people who want to adopt as there are kids who need to be adopted..why create make more largely unwanted orphans?
And if most abortions occur in undeveloped countries, that should tell you something.

Every woman who kills her own unborn baby could be sentenced to work for free (food and shelter) in an orphanage for several years. That will teach them, providing at the same time free care for future human beings.

There are many situations when other people decision allows you to live. That of firemen, doctors, nurses and all sort of rescuers.
There are also situations when people decide that they can't deal with their lethal disease any longer, and beg for assisted suicide.
However, to give ordinary people the right to end life of innocent unborn babies (often just because they represent a temporary inconvenience) is almost as barbaric as the old habit of stoning to death pregnant unmarried women "for their sins". A society should be able to provide food, shelter, care and education for unwanted children, not perpetuate a modified version of those barbaric habits.
If people do not learn TO RESPECT life, no wonder innocent men may get killed without a second thought.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Life is over for all of us in a second if you think about it.
My godfather went to work one day and never came back because he was randomly shot in a alley way.
We think we are so important. We think we are gonna live forever. We think we have forever. People live in this bubble of denial.
We don't get to control if we live or die. Face reality. It's harsh.
There are many situations when other people decision allows you to live. That of firemen, doctors, nurses and all sort of rescuers.
There are also situations when people decide that they can't deal with their lethal disease any longer, and beg for assisted suicide.
However, to give ordinary people the right to end life of innocent unborn babies (often just because they represent a temporary inconvenience) is almost as barbaric as the old habit of stoning to death pregnant unmarried women "for their sins". A society should be able to provide food, shelter, care and education for unwanted children, not perpetuate a modified version of those barbaric habits.
If people do not learn TO RESPECT life, no wonder innocent men may get killed without a second thought.click to expand

Not wanting someone is often a transient feeling and should not be used as an excuse for murder.
My mother made no secret that she wanted to get rid of me as fetus. She thought that was something that everybody was doing, and therefore "normal". It had nothing to do with her being raped, poor, loaded with kids, under age or addicted. She was a 25 years old married professional, with a good job and income, pregnant for the first time. And so were many other women who used abortion as a way to "delay motherhood till their thirties". That is the skewed attitude of a society in which abortion is not considered a crime.
Children who escaped murder are not victims, they are survivors. Victims are those who got aborted.
I do engage with animals sometimes 🙂.

Cant you guys see that you experience to completely different events in your life? I dont think your beliefs can apply to someone else's life bc you experience it differently.
Abortion out of "temporary inconvenience", like in the case of my mother, is the most frequent situation. These women could afford to raise the child, they just opted for murder instead, because they get away with it.
For other situations, there is help with registering the child with adoption agencies, temporary care, or an orphanage. Pregnancy lasts several months, birth several hours. Guilt from being a complice to the murder of your own child could last a life time.
I know households with seven children and households with only one. If you thing that happiness in indirect proportional with the number of kids one has, think again.
