The ego is something deep within us that hides our true feelings. The bigger the ego, the less confident the person REALLY is. The Ego just hides because it's afraid...

Confidence is knowing that no matter what... your inner light shines and people can SENSE THAT. Someone with a big ego cannot illuminate a room like someone with confidence.

Ego is more self centered. When you're driven by your ego you completely disregard anyone else's thoughts of you. You don't care or listen to other people's feedback.

Confidence is not proving yourself, it's about improving yourself. It's about doing the best for not only YOU but for others around you.

the word ego comes from Latin and means I/me, it was USED by Freud in psychology of the self, along with Jung and Adler, not invented by him.
