Yeah I've gotten those too but usually I can tell if it's a scam plus my phone automatically sends spam text to another place in my phone.

I told her we need to find friends like this who love hosting people.
I think this is more common among couples who are in medium to long-term relationships.

I knew this kind of people who’s house was always open for guests. Literally anyone on any day time could come and would eat or drink.
I need to find these types of people. Once the virgos sister tried to get me over to cook me dinner but I was literally working 7 days a week then so never could take her up on it. I have a feeling she might be one of these ppl but since I'm not talking to the Virgo anymore I can't call her 🙃

I knew this kind of people who’s house was always open for guests. Literally anyone on any day time could come and would eat or drink.I need to find these types of people. Once the virgos sister tried to get me over to cook me dinner but I was literally working 7 days a week then so never could take her up on it. I don't understand it either thats kind of why I didn't take her up on it too. My social anxiety kicked in too. I wonder if I had would that of changed my relationship with the Virgo in a good way. I know she liked me so getting on his sisters good side should have been a plus but I didn't understand the situation either and I was working all the time. Ugh. Oh well.

Yeah that's true. She's a crazy Gemini so not sure how long that would have lasted anyway 🤣 It's probably better that she remembers me on a good note too so she can tell the Virgo "you should have held on to sealion" 🤣 I know his sister didn't like the woman he started dating after me.
i don't do that coz i just assume people wanna make better use of their time than spend it with me who 'cooked way too much for dinner.'
if i really wanted to hangout, i'd call and set a date or time for something to do outdoors.
and i feel like people don't even really like unannounced videocalls (without some warning text beforehand), even less actually hangouts nowadays.

Yeah, I’ve never really done the dinner parties type of scene. Or just random invites for dinner even.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one it seems. Must be a rare thing that people do even though they make it seems normal on TV.

This weekend I got a random wrong number text from someone in New York asking if I was home. I didn't recognize the number but I like messing with wrong numbers so I replied "no, why" to see what they say. Well the person messaging me called me Anna (not my name) and asked me to come over for dinner cause she made Chinese food and seafood for dinner. Ironically, I was out to dinner with my family celebrating my nephew's 21st bday but for some reason that sounded way better then what we were getting for dinner. I told her I wasn't Anna but wish I was cause that sounded really great and told her I hope Anna comes over for dinner. She then peoceded to invite me over for dinner if I was ever in New York. As tempting as that is I know I could never do that cause stranger danger right. Lol anyway it got me thinking though. I have heard of people like this...friends who just invite their friends over for dinner cause they cooked, but, I have never in my life had friends like these. I even told my best friend about it and she agreed, neither of us have had friends like this and it is so foreign to us. I told her we need to find friends like this who love hosting people. I think the closest I've gotten is people who invite me to "have lunch or dinner with me sometime" but never set a date. Do any of you have friends like these or are you that friend. Do these people actually exist?
I love cooking for others too
and my pisces friend does this all the time.
Invite me for his new mac and cheese or bbq randomly.
it's about feeling good and creating a safe place,
having good discussions with good music.
They won't be alive forever and neither will I
I think this is still a thing in different cultures amongst family and close friends.
If you happen to make something you know someone from your close circle really likes, then you invite them over. But it’s nothing formal like a “dinner party” and having to rsvp.

Yeah I'm not talking about dinner parties but I don't get invites to those either much cause no one I know has them anymore. This lady wanted me to come over that night cause she cooked food. Like I was a neighbor in her building or something.
I used to a lot
Four of us would take it in turns to cook and we’d get hammered 😂and have a laugh
The only people I cook for now are the family
I really enjoy that as we all share the same sense of humour and it’s good to have male company to balance all the females I’ve in my life.
