I'm on an online dating site and I'm wondering what people mean when they write in their profile "no games please", "not into games", etc. I'm 35 yo, have had 2 serious relationships, soon to be divorced. In general I know what "games" are in relationships (ie a player/liar), but why do people put this in their profile? What do they mean or expect when they write that?
Games

1. be real
2. don't live with your parents
3. no std's
4.be sane and not a head case
5.look how you would in your photo
6. don be wanted by law enforcement
7.don wear my clothes are collect "hair samples"
8.have a job
9.be clean
10.have at least a hand full of teeth

Kind of sounds like they are sending a warning, doesn't it. Perhaps their last relationship wasn't all that spectacular.click to expand
Yes, that could be it. Or, they had bad 1st dates. I find it uneccessary to write this. I mean what is someone that plays games going to do, NOT reply to someone who says they don't want to play games?!?

I don't even understand why people post that kind of stuff anyways. What's the point? Hell if a person is on "games" & if they wanna approach you, they're going to whether or not you claim you hate "games" or not. Plus, everybody hates games! It's kind of a pointless statement.
You should go onto someone's page assuming that the person you've taken a liking to isn't 1. On games and/or 2. Doesn't like games.
That's the same as saying, "Only honest people can write me." It's a pointless statement b/c you can't control who approaches you & even if you wear 1,000 signs on your forehead claiming you hate a certain thing, that still doesn't guarantee that you won't attract that very thing.
In my experiences, the very people who are always writing "No games please" are the VERY individuals who play games the most!
