Should I leave this alone?

I got someone's number, and was told it was so I wouldn't bother him at work but at home, he's not really a big texter. I like him

But I feel like an idiot now, like a rejected loser

Ummm no lol. Because I thought it was because I was cool TBH. Lol but the reasoning behind him giving it to me makes no logical sense, I still talk to him at work so? Not sure imo if someone bothers me enough at work I'm definitely NOT going to give them my number so they can bug more lol that's just me

Not to be rude. You mentioned a friend you thought he might be interested in. If you want to talk to the guy then talk to him.

Why does the motivation behind him giving you his number worry you so much? In my mind the more important thing is that you have his number.

That being said either your going to use it & start looking at this as an opportunity to connect with him more outside of work and get to know him better, or your not.

The choice is yours. Or you could do nothing and see if he takes any action.

At some point he will know there is no "friend" so my suggestion is start figuring out what you're going to do about that part.

Edit: some caps like to keep it professional at work and keep their work and personal lives separate. I'm not sure why the term "bother" was used, unless he was being playful or sarcastic.

Yeah, your right idk why I'm so convey with WHY. I guess the good thing is I have it. I do get to know him and was honest about the whole friend thing! He said he wasn't really interested anyway. He's very sarcastic and witty as well. I was told all caps suck at texting lol but he can keep a fave to face convo fairly well. I'm very close to telling him I like him. I think he likes me too. Like when I'll be walking toward him he'll look and smile at me, and even though he's busy he ALWAYS talks to me, and makes eye contact when I talk. He is very professional too though. So maybe I am just overthinking maybe that was just his way of playing. If someone bothers me I'm not giving them my number
