I love to make things. Whether it be food, clothes, whatever. I love making them and I especially love to make it for other people. The thrill of bringing something to life. The thrill of their faces when they receive it. It feeds and nourishes me. When I do things like that, im working towards fulfilling my north node in cancer. Creating something and giving it away is how I show my love for humanity. Its how I express who I am. My willpower, creativity, my perfectionism.

However, after its done, I feel all empty inside. The culmination is kinda heartbreaking to me. There are times when I say no to peoples orders because I cant stand the end of it all. Its like being pregnant, giving birth, and then having to give my child away. When I do become pregnant, I could see me getting pregnant again quickly just to experience the emotions of giving birth to something.

5th house problems maybe?

Here is something I wrote down it my notes last week. It may help you, it may be meaningless to you. I can't remember where I found it, only that it was originally in a Peter Rollins book, Idolatry of God (which I haven't read)

'At this point, the world is experienced as 'out there'.

With the advent of 'I' , there is an experience of that which is 'not I'.

This means our most basic and primal experiences of the world involve a sense of loss.

This sense of loss is an illusion, because there was no 'me' before this experience of separation.

The very birth of our subjectivity then signals a sense of losing something we never had in the first place.'

This piqued my interest.

Idolatry of...

Starts out a bit like Scott Peck's

'The Road Less Traveled'--

You planning on reading it?

You know what's very strange Monte, is someone saw that text I posted last night and then linked me to the Scott Peck book lol

Now both will go on the reading list for next month 🙂

Ahh... very cool. 🙂

It's the whole 'life is difficult' aspect that they share, I think.

I'm linking one of his other books, below (Further Along...).

I started with that one because I was looking for something specific,

and I'm glad I did.

It paraphrases a lot of the principles covered in his (much more

detailed) first book.

YES. I just finished this book and it blew my mind.

Do you have suggestions for books like this?? How ironic hehe

Wait... which one have you finished: the one by Peck or Rollins? lol

Sorry-- can't tell which one you mean. 🙂

And yes on the suggestions:

Further Along the Road Less Traveled
Scott Peck, M.D.

I read that one ^^ first... I couldn't put it down.

He also wrote another on the existence of EVIL:

People of the Lie
Scott Peck, M.D.

I just finished

Further Along the Road Less Traveled
Scott Peck, M.D.

And I am not kidding, it has changed my outlook entirely.

Something else you might like, Finding Your Own North Star. Just started it.

http://www.amazon.com/Finding-Your-Own-North-Star/dp/0812932188/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1419894737&sr=1-1&keywords=finding+your+own+north+star

How was the second book?? The reviews on it were not as good as his first. I feel like a thread needs to be made about his views on the difference between "real Love" and "anti love"... but anywho

😉 Thanks!!

I believe you.

The second book was good, though I'm not surprised it didn't

appeal to as many people.

'... Peck brilliantly probes into the essence of human evil.'

Anti-love-- I agree, that would be an interesting thread.

On Evil (anti-love)

Reading the intro to the North Star book... and thanks. 🙂

Yeah, the 5th house could be a thing. Like actors yearn for audience.

The melancholy your text sublimates is known to me from my childhood. When we were hiking in the mountains at the weekend. It made me so lucky. I had such a huge fun. Then on the way back home I felt sad. Very sad. That was accompanied by fatigue and sunset. And friends told goodbye and went different ways.

Also when I was a student a graduated friend told me how empty he felt when he finished his study. I could not experience the same feelings. He had a too short study time, the express version. Like the higher you fly the deeper you fall.

This explanation is somewhat abstract and so based on "TO HAVE".

Nowadays even philosophy feeds off brain areas, hormones and such (the physical layer). To me that is "TO BE".

Hangover!
what is it? sore muscles. Why do I have it? I drank too much alcoholic stuff and forgot to drink water.
We get soul hangover cause we overindulge when partying.
And this is not to avoid. why?
We party to forget the seriousness of life. So we do more and more to suppress the power of serious issues. Where are boundries? Dare me.
What happens when you bring a system out of equilibrium? It goes to the other extrem to come back and oscillate (swing) unless it gets damped down by (friction and) loss of energy.
