Imbalance of energy (excess mutable)

The Sag guy I'm currently involved with is predominantly mutable fire AND air, with Jupiter being his only earth planet (and also mutable). (Sag Sun, Mercury, Mars; Gemini Moon; Scorpio Venus; Virgo Jupiter.)

I'm fairly balanced with air, fire, and earth, mostly fixed and cardinal. (Aquarius Sun, Ascendant, Mars; Sag Moon; Cap Mercury; Aries Venus; Capricorn Jupiter.)

We've become pretty close friends over the past few months and have also established each other as "front runners" compared to the other people interested in us. In other words, I'm his first pick and he's mine. He completely deleted his Tinder account, so the competition has been lowered significantly. I'm assuming these are especially good signs with a Sag!

But, since he has an excess of mutable energy, despite it being mostly Sag, is it basically up to me to sort of nudge things along? He doesn't have any planets in cardinal signs, so I feel like we'll continue to be in this weird "limbo" stage until I finally initiate something. I basically just want to say, "Hey, I like you, and I'm not trying to pin you down or anything, but I just need to know if I'm wasting my time." I've confronted him in a similar way before and he took it well and was very understanding.

No harm in telling him how you feel.

I also have predominate fire and water. No earth at all.

I like relationships that are stable but free at the same time. It helps if the person i am with is not too moody, emotional or possessive. Someone cool and calm who is not going to restrict me.

You could try telling him that you want to be exclusive and see what he says.

With direct communication, be prepared for him to run if it sounds too restricting. An admirer did that recently and i was ready to part ways. Also. don't give ultimatums. Just say, in a friendly way, " you know i like you, when can i be your gf" something light and casual.

I will run if the feeling isn't mutual.
