At this point, I'm just curious 🙂

Met a Scorpio from an online dating site, a cop (woohoo!).

First date- I was sick, told him so, was after work and looked like hell, told him so.

We met at a bar, he bought a double, was visibly nervous (adorable) and talked incessantly about army stuff. I got a one-armed hug at the end and regretted meeting him looking like hell.

Made plans for date two, that night, he says he forgot a change of clothes and cant go. I didn't make a big fuss about it, he apologized and continued to text the rest of that night.

I had a trip, we made plans to meet after.

During trip he sent me some pictures, talked about his weight, I gave him good feedback, then we didn't text for a few.

Came back, we made plans, met and had beer/lunch during the day. I dressed up a bit more. We had a good time, split a beer, he paid for all (I offered and he dismissed like wtf wrong w me) and gave me a lift to work (I didn't have time to walk back to my car). Got a c'mere you and a nice hug from that one 🙂

I texted him and said, if I said I was moving away (I am) would he still want to hang out? He said yes he would.

Made plans to go out again. I arrive and text him to see if he is there. He says he hasn't left yet, I can go in.

He arrives 30 mins late (I suspect, he forgot, and had an oh shit moment..but I could be wrong).

The bar is an (expensive) jazz bar. He buys all the drinks, and I let him pick whatever coz it was pricey. Kept talking about his house, he has this bottle that one, he has a bar, just dropping those out there. Mentioned (for the first time) he had a daughter. Kept his jacket on the whole time (nervous? it was a nice place. he wasn't dressed up. I was, that night). Sat verrry close to me.

When I finally ordered a beer he closed the tab. I asked if we could keep drinking at his house- my thinking was, let's keep hanging out stop spending all your money. He said maybe this weekend, maybe thursday. Said his place wasn't cleaned up enough. I asked if I could make him something, bring him something and he said yes. Then he lit up a little and was like of course! He walked me out to my car. Made fun of me for swerving into him. Got another hug and a long awkward-ish stare, I swear he was waiting for me to kiss him..or maybe we had some sort of nervous standoff.. I was trying not to wobble in my heels in the wind and so.. I said good night, after that long minute, and got into my car.

So I text him today. He always always answers, often within a few minutes, sometimes not (he texts back when at work so). He never initiates convo- but, he is a capricorn Mars.

I told him I liked him, he said he liked me too. And I do like him, and I do believe him.

But knowing I will be moving away in a few weeks, I am not expecting investment from him, and I don't think he's expecting investment from me.

Curious to know,

1. where you think he might be at?

And 2. If I stop initiating texts, do you think he will follow up to hang out again tomorrow or at the weekend?

Wait! He's a cop and he walked you to your car, swerving, after an evening of drinking, so you could drive home?

I can't speak for the men but it sounds like he likes hanging out with you but he's not looking for anything serious.

If we were absolutely smitten, you would know it.
