We might think about them and still care how they're doing. But we do have the ability to get over someone and not be emotionally affected by them anymore. Depends on how mature the person is really

I never forget those I dated, but I don't care much for them to be honest (except one). I never go backwards.
The only one I could possibly make an exception for is a Leo, but all the other guys, it's never happening. I loved them then, but I would never get back together with them. In hindsight, I don't even know how I even dated them.
One of them was a Pisces I was absolutely crazy about. It took me three years to get over him ... I don't care much for him now. He's the man I 'loved' the most out of the whole bunch. Yet, I would never get back together with him even though that separation turned into an open wound that took years to mend (literally crying every single day over him for roughly two years and a half).
The Leo is however another story ...
I"m no scoorpio - I am a virgo with venus in leo so literally if I loved you , high chances that a part of me will always will ( #fixedsign) ) but I think that they can get over girls they just dated casually without any feelings and stuff . But maybe it's because I am a romantic idk , but I feel that if they really were in love with someone - like no shallow love but truly in love . The love will change , emotions , feelings after a while. But they will always have love for that person . I guess that with time we ( I at least) tend to remember the good parts and not the less cute parts .
I feel that once you loved someone you can never fully unlove them , there will always be a part - that will care for that person . However I don't believe it happens for every single person they date .
That's what I like to think anyway .. That does not mean that he is going to come after you or admit that - I see that scorpio can be quite prideful .

My mother is a scorpio. She always talks about her first love from when she was a teenager. She's married now to someone else, but whenever she runs into this other guy, randomly--which is once every 5-10 years, her heart pounds strongly and beats faster. I don't know why my mother and her teenage lover never got together long term or were in a serious relationship. She always says she'll never forget him.
