It can't hurt to tell her how you feel. Also, this: "omne ignotum pro magnifico" I can't think of any Scorp that I've known who's worth a shit that wouldn't be at least a little intrigued by the person who would quote that.

Worst thing she can say is no. That's it. Nothing more and nothing less.
