It depends on the emotional investment I chose to make on an issue, person, conflict, etc.If I want to do something terrible I will certainly plan it and have. But if the end result can't be confirmed as either a win or an ending but simply a huge mess I think of another approach. The most used one is to just brush it off and move on.
