But wasn't the beginning of the sign Aries determined by the exact date of the vernal equinox? And hasn't the date of the vernal equinox changed overtime...like it wasnt the exact same day over history. So how can the set dates of the zodiac signs be correct? I heard somewhere that the dates have shifted and scorpios who think they are scorpios may not be scorpios at all but really libras...i really dont know...but i read that every so often on astrology sites.

blueroses, I completely understand what you're talking about...I've heard all that too, in fact one site ran by astronomers claims that in fact like 80 percent of the population is actually under the sign of Virgo, and that there are very few "true" scorps. I don't quite know what to adopt and what to dismiss when it comes to astrology. I do know that I don't feel like a Virgo, but who knows? Perhaps through all my reading about my sign, I've been conditioned to think I'm a scorp. It's all very interesting, but I wonder why (if all that is true, that we aren't necessarily the signs we think we are) most astrologers still go by the old methods. That's mainly what keeps me from changing my view on astrology. Really I should read up on everything more, get more into the technical side of astrology, educate myself better before making up my mind about what I believe and what I don't.

You bring up a good discussion with this topic...and by the way thank you for the compliment! 🙂 I like your stance on things too! And no, I think your username is nice, not stupid in the least. 🙂
