I usually don't have an issue with the word. My sister is just anal as f*ck. I annoy her on purpose with ebonics and poor grammar to get under her skin. I'm positive she's the reason I get annoyed when I make small spelling errors and feel the need to hide my posts.

The other thing about having strong convictions (fixed, absolute, with zero tolerance or leeway) is only is that it is much, much harder to adjust and/ or cope with it if those convictions are overturned.
I think of a glass being shattered rather than a rubber ball bouncing.
But one thing I have noticed in strong personalities is that sometimes you take an absolute position and will defend it until the ends of time (and/or discussion/argument) but that in quiet times, and with a little reflection will happily acknowledge the other point of view and absorb it in a strangely wonderful dichotomy...
Your post seems to suggest that is what you've done... So I don't think you are all black & white IS! You just process the rainbow in your own time!

Okay, I was trying to think about the various things that are important to me.....I suppose this statement is true. Trying to convince me I should let them go (e.g. be more flexible in my position)--good luck. My convictions have kept me safe and warm in a very cold world.
