Have to agree with both statements. I'm hearing this song for the first time and I like the....raw energy of her voice (is the only way I can describe it).
Etta James was the same way, as was Patsy Cline.
My God, Patsy.... and the lonely icy road in a truck... it was just her and my refrain "Wa pa pa pum"...

On my list, along with Pulp Fiction (inside joke from Exo's thread)...I hear its a good movie, just never got around to seeing it though.
And I don't believe Lady Day was a Scorp. I posted it for the title. You know that whole "thing" about the Scorp stare/eyes...that's all.
