My fellow scorps, what keeps you coming back to your man/woman?

What makes you feel you can never leave someone's side even if they wrong you?? One chance after the other?

I would need to be in love with them to want to work it out and stay, and see some signs of change to whatever wrong they have done...

Wait wait wait...lol...that doesn't seem to be exactly accurate. There are many a people who have been loyal and patient with Scorps only to have them left with their hearts broken. Just look at every single Scorpio forum on the internet. lol ha ha ha ha

I'm dying to know why a Scorpio will hang in, even when

someone is, for all intents and purposes, making their life

a living hell.

The stability we've built (my Venus in Cap speaking) and the loyalty we've mutually shown usually keeps me holding on. I believe it's necessary to work on relationships, I want them to last.

A massive change of lifestyle (distance, workload, etc.) or loss of communication is what makes it all go to shit though.

I think that last part is a Venus in Cap thing. I have it and I feel the exact same way about relationship building. You have to have a solid foundation for it to last which takes time. Are you a Scorp sun? My guy has Scorp Sun, Venus in Cap. I think he's fascinating. He is Scorp through and through, but I think he loves that I make him work for it...Venus in Cap. I let him know openly that he doesn't have clout with me just yet. I make it very clear that I believe that he could have a lot of clout with many women by now and that they would willingly give him that credit by now. Me...nah. It's not there yet. He said that he specifically wants to earn that clout with me, because it's a challenge.

I'm a Sagittarius sun on the cusp of Scorpio with Moon, Mercury and Pluto in Scorpio, all four conjuncting at a tight orb lol. My most intense relationship was a Cancer man I had known for 4 years prior to getting together then we spent a good year being in a non-relationship thing to make sure we would be good together (he's a Venus in Virgo). I had many men trying to date me but I don't like being chased and playing flirting games, as some people will be purposely deceitful to win you over, lol. That's the suspicious Scorpio side.

I think Scorpio needing to trust the partner similar to V in Cap needing strong foundation but ViCap maybe makes them more persistent. We don't like to be wrong because we're so picky!

Or all of it... but its difficult to watch.

It is mostly fear of being alone. Also, all of the hard work you have put into a relationship.. it's devastating for these to crumble even after the effort.

I don't fear being alone. Not really. I mean have a day on occasion where I'm bummed or feel misunderstood, but I don't think that happens more than it does for others.

I'm way more afraid of waking up next to someone who no longer loves me or vice versa.
I'd rather wake up alone and happy or even alone and bored than together and miserable. Truthfully, there are only two people in my life that I can say I don't want to let go of no matter what and it'd be a struggle to have to let go. Everyone else, it might hurt for days, weeks or even years, but I could let go if need be, and probably very quickly too.

You and me, both.

That's a horrible feeling.

Either that, or it's a Scorp that did in fact leave, left one hell of an impression and delusions took over the person who wronged the Scorp and wants to believe the Scorp still wants to be around.

That's not necessarily true. Maybe they thought they were being patient and loyal with the Scorpio. There's always two sides to a story, but it's not just about patience and loyalty. It's also, how that Scorpio is being treated. If you're disrespectful and dishonest. That's enough to make me cut you off. You can't trust someone continues to lie to you.... No matter how much I love that person, I'm leaving. âœŒï¸ I'm scorp sun, merc, and Venus. Cancer moon... Cap Mars...

And tell me this, why do people stay with their abusers after years of abuse and never leave? Why do people stay in marriages knowing that it's not working? It's the same thing to me..and it's not a Scorpio thing.

I think this situation is one of enabling... something that, like addiction, is no

respecter of persons (or astrological signs).

A measure of faith has to come in, that 'all of the hard work you have put into a

relationship' will weather the crisis, and allow for a separation-break that says

'I won't watch or help you destroy yourself.'

After years of interdependency, though, relying on the other person for so much,

this isn't always an act of self-preservation... it's actually pretty damned selfless--

and as such, incredibly difficult.

And Scorpio is no more (or less) equipped to deal with it, than any other sign.
