Take life too seriously?

So a week ago a guy told me "you shouldn't take life so seriously"

I didn't think much of it and just said "ok" meanwhilr thinking "whatever" in my head! I guess I kinda brushed it off bc this guy hardly knows me and I didn't think he was being accurate.

AFTER the fact I thought back to it and wondered why he had said that. I wondered in what context he meant it? Then I wondered if I DO take life too seriously? I am a pretty silly person and I love to joke around, but I also very CAUTIOUS. Could this be what he meant? I don't care enough to ask him but it makes me wonder.

Maybe I can lighten up a bit, but I have too many fixed placements and water placements to keep me in check lol. Maybe this is something you learn over time that I have yet to get there lol. What do you guys think? Do you think you take life too seriously or is that the norm as a Scorp sun?

Maybe if these young ones of today took life a bit more seriously they would find something more worth while to do with their time than posting up vids of themselves Twerking their feckin ugly fake asses
And go read a book ... A real book not kindle

I've been accused of this too.

People either state that I look too serious or also take life too seriously

Scorpio sun, rising, mercury, jupiter, & pluto

It's just in our nature.

not too nice though .. this could easily trigger her paranoid side since nobody can be too nice without an ulterior motive
more important: make sure you don't say anything that could be interpreted in her mind as an insult or personal attack
I mean: the guy in OP's story is already be on her people I might have to sting list

to play it safe, say nothing besides 'hi' and 'good bye' .. however, your scarcity of words could also trigger her paranoid side

some wants you to be more serious, other wants you to lighten up. and they ignore the fact that you're not in this life to live up to their expectations nor do they have to live up to yours.

I'm the same as you, I'm silly and I joke around a lot but too cautious as well. I used to hate that im cautious, because I thought that im not living the life to the fullest.

but then, as I got older I was thankful that im too cautious, it prevent me from doing stuff that could damage me and other people. it also balance me as a person.

I guess that people assume that you're not happy and boring if you're more in the serious side or not wild enough, which is not true. people are happy when they are comfortable! and choosing the comfortable way to live your own lfe is the key behind your happiness.

I'd suggest to stick to whatever you're comfortable and happy with, if not then change it for your own self. because people won't be satisfied and would always judge no matter what.

I've dealt with people telling me how I should be and live that's why im having no chill and super passionate discussing this haha! 😄

Surely this person and I live very different lives, but like u said im comfortable living my life the way I do. It just made me wonder if I can 'lighten up' a bit. Maybe I can, but I figure I'll learn that in my own time. Part of me wishes that I would have said something smart back! Lol

I'm 21 and I am currently taking 22 college credits, just got an internship, and I have 3 jobs....so....I think I am right there with you lmao.

It's just that I wanna get my degree and move tf out of the midwest!!! I'm not trying to rot here like all of the other townies in my area. HELL NO!! I am going places, and I don't care what other people say about my life choices! I need all of the jobs I have so I can help support my family and pay off school. I don't get financial aid with one of the universities I am attending (I am taking only 6 credits at one) and it's like $ 1200 for the two classes and I have to make the money somehow!! I am not gonna make my parents spend a dime on it. It is my responsibility, and it is important to be serious. I feel you 100% !

And I STILL find ways to do fun things!

I wouldn't take it as an insult either, but I like to go deep into stuff when explaining my point! lol! yeah, I see what you're trying to say. 🙂 I guess, you can lighten up a bit or be serious a bit or do whatever you want with how you express yourself. we all have different sides to our personalities that we show and hide, looking back at what ive been doing in my life, 5 years ago I was your typical serious virgo, 2 years after I was the silliest person you could ever met, and now I guess im both. your ways would change as time does I guess 🙂 just do whatever youre comfortable with at the moment and itd come naturally 🙂 btw whats your sign?
