There are two more Scorps in my life, and in the world: The Twins were born after almost 20 hours of labor for Scorp Mom, but all three are healthy, and recovering after their ordeal...
Our Daughter - born on 7 NOV 2007 at 11:47PM, 6 lbs 2 oz.
Our Son - born on 8 NOV 2007 at 12:23AM, 5 lbs 8 oz.
Debra went into labor EARLY on WEDS morning, but didn't wake me up until going on 7AM - thought it might be another false alarm like the day before. She was really beat after the first birth, and it was looking like a C-section (something she did not want!), but she managed to get her strength back enough to push the little fella out. Damn! I'm proud of her! Sweet & petite, but tough as nails!
Both babies have a head full of hair that's darker than Mom's, but lighter than Dad's. Both have good lungs - cry like little banshees! Oddly enough, they don't kick at me when I touch them now like they did in the womb - maybe they know better...
... or, they're biding their time till they can stand on their own to kick me in the butt!
I know Deb's tired, because I feel like ten miles of bad road! Gonna eat some supper, and go straight to bed, and sleep like the dead... all my Scorps will be home Tuesday -- that's when the fun really begins!!
That's so sweet that they get to have their own birthdays !!!
Happy to hear that everybody is healthy and doing fine .. you have a bunch more kisses to give your lovely angels on behalf of your dxp family. I'm sure you do that with pleasure.
Congratulations,it must be a very beautiful feeling to have kids..(Damn Kris, when you gonna get pregnant and bring my kids to the life) I wish them to have a great life and your wife to get healthy and well again..
Awesome job being a baby making machine Dyr. Make sure to baby proof the house. I love babies. They eat, sleep and poop like regular folk except they're tiny.
Changing diapers is fun. I remember when I used to change diapers for my sis and my cousins. I'd end up using the soiled diapers in many of my pranks. Just goes to show you you can make something out of nothing.
My BEST wishes for you all to enjoy your wonderful moments creating memories that will last a lifetime bringing a many a smiles in your hearts, your lives and all those who surround you. I see a very "joyful" life ahead for you all 😉
Thanks for sharing your fantastic news with us Dy 🙂
good god deek.....whenever are you gonna get your own TV show—
I've been trying to get a show for years now. Preferably a sitcom. I've even contacted FOX a few times about my ideas because I know they always pick up crap on their network. But sadly no luck. Hopefully I can land a TV show in the future.
congrats dyrst!🙂 now you have two bundles of troubles in your life.haahaa, and how curious is that, one is born on 7th and the other on 8th!one boy and the other girl! i envy you, seriously. i would love to have kids in that scenario some day.but i can only hope, you got it alright🙂 what a sight it will be in a few years, poor guy surrounded by scorpios all over the place!😛
All my Scorps are home - and in bed with me every night. Yeah, I know! Bad Idea! But they won't sleep unless they're both in between Mom & Dad... They are SMALL, but LOUD!
I know they're mine, and I'm biased, but they are the prettiest babies - like little china dolls. They won't hush for me, but they will for Deb -- go figure!
I'll be home with them until after Thanksgiving, and going back to work will be like a vacation -- already feel like a one legged man in an ass-kicking contest! It still hasn't really sank in that I'm a Daddy again, or that for the first time in my life I have a Son...
My VirDad actually choked-up on the phone when I called him. Before Debra came along, I think he thought his life was pretty much over -- now he's remarried, and a Grandfather again, and all because of a Scorpio pipsqueak...
My original Scorp Daughter is gonna be a terrific Big Sister -- was laughing and teared-up the first time she held them. Oh yeah, The Twins are gonna be spoiled as all get out, and I doubt there's much I can do to prevent it... and, I'm not gonna fret about it! (Ain't got time for that nonsense!)
Hope y'all have a great Thanksgiving. I can't believe how much I have to be thankful for -- and it all started right here on DXP...
This might be a bit late, but as a show of gratitude, y'know, for all of that time DXP has been here for you, I think it'd be nice if you called the girl after one of our female DXPosters, say, "Lady M".
The boy, naturally, would be called "In your face".

Lady M = Emma (See what I did there, I know genius) In Your Face = Chase? (I don't know I ran out of ideas after the first one.)
When they ask you who you named her after, just reply "some chick off the internet!", and when they ask you why, just proclaim proudly "because some guy off the internet told me so!"
Hmmm... Emma & Chase -- sound like good DXP nicknames, thanks...
Shaka2: "Dy, Im not sure if I should congratulate you or wish you luck..take your pick!"
Hey, you know how it is: When my three Scorps are piled up in bed and sleeping soundly, I know I'm the luckiest bastard on Earth; but, when they wake up... well, it's gonna be a tough row to hoe!
Roxi: "you leave your dignity at the doorstep when you go to give birth."
True. My Leo Mom used to tell us boys, "Imagine trying to sh1t a bowling ball -- that's what delivering y'all was like!"
Egads! Tried to get The Twins to sleep in their own bed last night, and they both started squalling at around 1 AM! Debra rocked them to settle them down, and then I sent her to bed, and hunkered down with them in my big cushy reading chair - one in each arm. And that's how she found us this morning - and of course, took a picture - me with my hands full, bleary-eyed, and my hair going every which way but straight. And no, I won't be posting that photo on DXP - and I'm not even gonna ask about it!
I think the multiple births in Debra's ancestry, and her age at conception were the main factors. It's a weird coincidence that I'd never had a son, and she'd never had a daughter -- mind over matter?? Who knows.
