Ugh, My Scorpio Ex

For some reason I got the desire to look up my Scorpio ex and then contact him after 20 years to say hello and see how he's doing. As soon as I said hi he said "A, I love you and my biggest regret was not marrying you. No other woman has ever made love to me the way you do or could cook the way you do, blah, blah, blah." Then he said he was going to make arrangements for me to visit him in CA and when can I come. I told him I can't do that because I'm married to the man I started dating after he broke my heart. He said, "Oh you married him?" Then we talked and caught up on each others lives over the years. The next day he called me and asked again that I come out west to visit him. I again said no. He then unleashed a torrent of insults that left me stunned and shaking. Why? What happened?

It seems he never got over you. When you reached out he saw a glimmer of hope like maybe after all this time we could have another chance. I think Scorpios take things way more seriously than that, even if they may not act like it. Love is a very big deal to them, especially if it was memorable.

You see I thought he was married too because his wife (who I found out through our convo is now his ex as they divorced) was in this picture I saw of him. So he was told within 1 minute of the convo that I was married and then we went on and caught up. It was the next day that he called out of the blue and blew me up.

The two kind of walk together with scorps a lot. The level of emotions they feel is...extreme. the anger was hurt being projected away. If he wasn't hurt he would have just made a joke about her marrying the gem and moved on. He's lashed out from hurt bc he's got some feelings still there. I get that is how they generally operate, but it’s immature and toxic and does nothing to serve them in the long run if that’s how they choose to handle conflict - like a child throwing a tantrum.

I don't think he's got feelings sorry I think he's got his own problems, is probably really lonely and felt a flash back to 20 years ago and wanted to go back. 20 years is way too long to have some feelings still there, you don't have feelings or that the person who's talking to you on the phone, you've got feelings for the young woman who dated 20 years ago, and for the time in your life you had. That's gone now, that woman doesn't exist anymore, you're talking to someone else.
