Are Scorpios usually slow and cautious when it comes to revealing themselves and growing fond of a person they are dating?

We've went out on 3 dates the past 2 weeks. The connection is there. He's the most romantic guy I've ever been with. He's always holding my hand, hugging me, making sure im okay. He stares a lot. Lmao I don't mind but I wonder what's on his mind when he does this. He says he isn't much of a conversationalist but he feels like he's obligated to. I told him it wasn't necessary, I don't mind silences at all. He felt comfortable. I'm a cancer so we bond pretty well. Super quickly.

I'm a Taurus and I do the same so maybe it's the person themselves being cautious too. And enjoying stuff, slowly letting them in.
