We have like 2-3 threads on our first page just about how we have to say something about trolls on our boards.

We're also territorial. Lol.

There is no denying immaturity ... we were all immature once.

The point I am making is simply this: We cannot complain about the school shootings, the random slaughters, teenagers committing suicide, children losing their young mothers to abusive boyfriends or the institutions filling up with "people gone wrong" when we ignorantly sit by and say nothing when something clearly needs to be said. Do you leave it to someone else to deal with? Would you walk by someone being bullied because they had a disability or would you defend them? Are you more worried about being "Liked" than you are about using your hard-won experience to take an opportunity to teach the younger generation a boundary or two when it is in your face?

Just a few things to think about which has nothing to do with being self-righteous.

Death, I am currently in training for the physical demands test for Corrections. I am not in need of a wheelchair, but thankyou, that was a very generous offer. Very funny comment.

F&B, I agree, maturity and age are not relative. That can be witnessed by some of the younger posters on Dxp who are very enlightened. As far as getting out and getting to know the younger generation, I have that covered as well. I am in a class with 40 other people most of whom are under the age of 25. Not to mention my son and all the friends he brings over who, without fail, look to me for guidance.

I think what matters more is the fact that when we see an opportunity to shed some light that we aren't afraid to do so. I am not a sheep, and I never have been.

I finished shopping anywho. Need to tidy up my own hair and take one of my new outfits for a swing. Trying to see if tonight is an old fashioned or a Manhattan type of night.
