Friend zoned then unfriendzoned ?

I've been friends with a Taurus man for almost 2 years now when we started talking it seemed as if we had known each other for years after 5 months he asked me out on a date after the date he send me a msg asking if I understood why he didn't pursue a relationship then told me I was too young what would people think our age gap is quite big 7 years but I believe myself too be very mature I was hurt and we decided to be friends my feelings started to numb out after the months went by non of our personal relationships worked out but we always spoke everyday
Suddenly he told me about a msg he got from a friend that has visions saying that he was going to meet the girl he wants to be with really soon I laughed and said I was happy for him
But now all of a sudden his tone towards me has changed he's sweeter and when we hang out I catch him staring at me through the corner of my eye
He spoke about how he calls his guy friend "friend" and I laughed and said its funny that they're so formal with each other and then he said
"Atleast I don't call you friend so you know you're not friendzoned or anything"
I told him I was glad that I wasn't but he goes from acting like he really likes me back to being cold and friendly
I don't know if I should ignore this I'm afraid of investing feelings again

To keep on topic, there's not much here to go on. You've known him a while, went on one date, he highlighted the age gap and didn't want a relationship with you. Then after a while he started to be more friendly with you but goes cold again. You're worried of investing feelings in him again although I can't see how many feelings you'd have invested in him after only one date.

The rest is all just waffle you're picking on to over analyse to give yourself hope or confusion or drama.

Honestly when we Taurus want something we go or it. We bulls get what we want!! We don't make hasty decisions either.. So if he friend zoned you he thought about it weighed the pros and cons. More than likely he found someone else who he thought was a better fit or just wasn't interested. Now he's bored or down to no one so he's ready to string you along until something he wants comes. I could be wrong and I hope I am but I've done it plenty of times to people and I know other Taurus
