Hey all. Do you ever watch a movie or read a book and try to guess what the fictional character's astrological sign might be? For instance, Marilla from Anne of Green Gables struck me as a Taurus (always brought the obviously Piscean Anne down to earth) as does Alice form Alice in Wonderland (such a determined thing who stubbornly held her reserve among all the wackos).

Sometimes an actor's astrological sign seems to seep through every role they do (e.g. Katherine Hepburn acted like SUCH a Taurus in basically every film she was in). All of the suggestions I made are opinions and easily debatable, but I was wondering if anyone else does this and which characters they think are Taurus.

Chris O'Donnell struck me as being very taurus in Scent of a woman , very duty-bound, conscientious, intuitive - though in fact I think he's gemini -not 100% - my ex husband is Chris O'Donnell's twin - looks-wise!! and how he acted in the film...........hey ho

Al Pacino in it came across to me as very saggitarius.....always enjoying the good things in life, in your face, liking the women and parties but at the same time wise and inwardly sensitive.

Wish I had of been that girl that he danced the tango with...to Por Una Cabana...that sexy tango waltz!!!

Jackie Brown reminded me of an Aquarian or Leo even in Jackie Brown.
She did her own thing, her own way, took the risks and consequences....played the game..and got the end result.......ladies think Jackie Brown mentality next time you are down...play Streetwise and walk her walk:-) - you will soon feel good again......

Oh... I typed that before I read your other response Crabby... must have been typing at the same time. I suspect you're bored at work as well.

I'll throw you a Cancer one... from another children's book... the uncle from The Secret Garden (in the movie) was a major Cancer... always brooding over his lost love in a dark corner and then spiriting away in his horse and carriage when life got too intense.

Aries = Animal
Taurus = One of the old men in the box (tauruses always seem sarcastic to me)
Gemini = Dr. Bunsen (scientist) and the other old man in the box (quick with the one liners)
Cancer = Fozzie Bear
Leo = Miss Piggy
Virgo = Scooter (on top of keeping the show going)
Libra = Kermit (someone's gotta balance the mishaps)
Scorpio = Gonzo (he was a bit intense)
Sag = Rawlf (always philosophizing)
Capricorn = Sam the American Eagle
Aquarius = Janice (the girl in the rock and roll band)
Pisces = Beaker

Bumping this old thread. I agree on Marilla Cuthbert being a Taurus. Wonder if Matthew Cuthbert was as well? Gentle, hard-working, incredibly shy, showered her with presents, and loved Anne with all his heart.

Again with one of my favorite real-life bulls, I'd say Al Pacino in Author, Author screams Taurus. Determined to be successful in his career and fight for his marriage - even after the wife makes it clear she's over it. He gathers together all the unwanted kids to give them a good home. Building his own little herd. "This play has to be a success, Ig. We've got a lot of mouths to feed."

Anyone else see that one?

I could see Spiderman's uncle as a Taurus, "Remember, with great power comes great responsibility." Maybe Peter Parker is a Taurus, with his devotion to Mary Jane and his enormous blind spot when he was being played by the friend. But can the average Taurus live a secret double life without imploding? Maybe that was why, at least in the movie, he felt he had to choose between love and helping others.

Penelope Cruz in almost every movie she's in (EXCEPT 'Blow')...

She's even admitted in an interview in Harpers Bazaar....

"Ask Penelope how her family and friends would describe her and she replies: "Stubborn. Even my mother would say that as the first word!" She would describe herself as "persistent. It is my best friend and my worst enemy. And I don't just mean fighting for something related to work; it could be anything. I have a strong personality, and I say what I think. I think I've been better about being a little more flexible." Tell her she's a no-bullshit girl and she grins broadly. "That is the best compliment you can give me!"

I see this side of her in many of the characters she plays.
Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Volver.
Captain Corellis Mandolin
Woman on Top
