Hi All,

So has anyone found that Taurus's rage/tantrums can be draining?

My bull yesterday was stressed the F out about something, and, as I will be there for him, I listened to his angst, depression and rage about the situation. It was an all day affair as he would keep on dwelling on it, wouldn't take any advice (Stubborn!), and ramble on with fits of rage.

Let's just say, I was emotionally drained from it all! Had to take a moment to myself to regroup my emotions as we have a empathetic connection.

At the end of the day when he confronted and found a resolution to the situation, his charming happy self was back. And then he goes on to say stuff like "I should have... or I'm going to..." Basically all the things I gave him advice on!!!!!

Yeah... we can be that way depending on maturity levels of the person. My advice? Just listen to them (even if you're really not listening to them because it is draining), and allow them the room to sort it out. Sometimes we just need to vent it out to get it out of our system because we've bottled it up for way too long.

Depending on the Taurus though, believe it or not, some DO actually take advice and listen.

lol yeah it just takes a while for the rage to subside and the advice to sink in lol

Doesn't that mean that he was listening?

I suppose, however when he stated it, the tone was as if he just had enlightenment and was his ideas. Perhaps I just planted the seed 😉

Certain signs drain the mutable race... I noticed that my ex used to drain me a LOT... he would literally Wear me down because when he'd argue with me, he wouldn't stop. Sometimes going as far as arguing continuously for 4 hours straight... it's how I'd give in because at the end I was so emotionally and mentally depleted, that I'd just end the relationship to not have to deal with it again.

Annoying AF

i've found that 99% of the time, they always know what to do. the other 1% is when they ask for your opinion.

it's normally just a matter of the rage dying down and the motivation taking its time to kick so they can get moving in the right direction.

lol it's a hard lump to swallow lol

I've gotten better at it though naturally without trying - it's more like a bytch and moan and grump these days - more easily resigned to back up and/or change direction - because I've learned that there is more than one way to skin a cat and that I learn something when I try a different approach and I enjoy that part.

Yes It is draining... once we start it's hard to stop hence the slow boil to get there because we try to avoid it. But when we get like that there is no reasoning with us that's why I advise just leave us be so we wallow in our own misery until we feel better or process the stubbornness which takes time, space, and patience. Sorry you have to be on the receiving end of that... I rarely get like that but when I do..... please clear the room.
lol or you'll clear it for them lol

apparently not just the mutables, I'm fixed and my Pisces ex could drain me very quickly - he was predictable and just knowing what was coming was enough to stop me from going there in the first place but when I had to ... well I just had to stop and say this conversation was over for me because I couldn't do it anymore

nope - it doesn't lend itself to good communication at all when they can't understand that there is no need to beat a dead horse

Wanted to add to the Q of Shadowcat... yes Taurus do listen, even though they act like they don't... they'll argue and stick to their guns while your trying to reason with them. And in the offset it may seem like you didn't get through to them, but it was just saving face... they're really prideful and will eventually do as you advise. Unless of course they have too much fixedness in their chart...

I know this based on my family members... mom, nephew, uncle, sister, ex brother and father in law. My sister is the most stubborn of all... but I figured out she has like 3 Taurus placements in her natal chart.
I hear and take everything into account and then formulate my own plan to move accordingly, mentally making sure all the other ticks and boxes are checked. Remember, we are methodical and then practical movers, not ones to take advise and run with it. It has to gel into the new plan and become something "we" are doing for ourselves instead of I'm doing this because Barbie said so.

It's like we don't take another step until we make sure to the best of our ability that the next step we take is on solid ground and in the right direction.

My ex was Aries but he had Taurus placements... stubborn, stubborn, stubborn. He had a libra moon so that just fueled his fire... he was never ending but because I was so stubborn and wouldn't cave, he'd try even harder to break me... so when I'd try to end it via instant kill, he couldn't beat me so he'd quite literally beat me into submission. It was awful...

But, after I while I learned to lie to him just to appease and shut him up... it was the only way to get him off my back. Otherwise the interrogations commenced ?... so glad that's over

omg lol I hate interrogations and will slam the door - definitely Aries and Libra going on there and being highly flammable lol

I'm a stubborn piece of work. When I rage, run (only to those I'm not close with like that). When it comes to a significant other, I expect you to be there and listen to my venting bs, once I'm done and have cooled down a bit, you may give your input/2 cents. It will still be up to me to decide what to do, most of the time, I will still do what I want. Then comfort me with love making and I'll be chipper again lol.

But in all seriousness, we just need someone to be our rock when we have our bad days, the stronger the rock, the harder we fall for you and be more than willing to take bullets for you. Well, that's the way I see it as a Taurus.

OMG so true on Taurus acting like they're not listening! My guy also has Mercury in Taurus.... So yes his communicative style holds true to Taurus. There are times where I am telling him something and I'll have to follow up with "Did you hear what I just said?" or "Yes or No? I'm driving so I can't see your head nods..."
