Based on her Taurus zodiac sign, she is likely loyal and appreciative of genuine gestures. Her love for art and friendship suggests she would value your connection, making it unlikely she would sell your gift unless she had a practical reason. Trust your instincts and her character rather than zodiac stereotypes.
First of all,yours are great.
Second....I would NEVER do such a thing, and considering her talent (and a Taurus)I highly doubt she would ever do that either.
may be her mom was talking about tickets?
Clearly her mother had to be kidding ... your work isn't worth that much.
I'm sure it's special to you .. but, honestly, it's not valuable.
Likely what happened is that she had pity on you when realized nobody was buying tickets, and so she put money in there so you wouldn't go off crying.
Well, did she sell it? Until you know this there's no point in worrying about what her mother said - look at the actual events, not just comments.
I don't know if she still has it or not. I don't get to go visit her very often, she lives about 3 hours away.

haha, STARE at the buffalo for a while. Theres actually several things in that painting.
Oh and that's not actually a painting. Believe it or not, its zillions of little dots of ink. Just LOOKS like a painting. Showing her Taurean patience 😉
The way she does it is more obvious in this one:

So I just got on facebook and one of my FAVORITE people came on, and I realized I had NO clue what her birthday is. So I popped over to her profile, she's a Taurus, of course lol. So I have to ask, would she do this? Here's the story..
She's an artist, very good one at that. I'm so so. But she's my friend. One of those people I run into at the store and run up and give a big hug to. I just LOVE her. We met through rabbits, we both used to show them. I did a charcoal piece with a bunch of different types of rabbits on it to put in a raffle to raise money for the rabbit club. There were quite a few tickets, but she won it lol. I guess she put a LOT of tickets in for it. So after she won it, I told her it meant a lot to me that she'd even enter for it, because she is SO good and I'm just okay. Then her mom says 'yeah, well she knows she can get it for a dollar and then turn around and sell it for 20'. Would that really be something she'd do? I think her mom was just being a smart ass, but it threw me. I mean she means a LOT to me, and it meant a TON that she liked my art. If she really was just going to turn around and sell it.. well that hurts.
couple of mine, just because.
The one I'm talking about (it was too big for the scanner so its overlapped and not quite perfect)
And hers for comparison (lol, it will be quite obvious why I'm so touched)
