Thanks! I think the unfinished one will be nice once I make it finished with lots of really dark blue with black and I make it a bit more abstract🙂

This one was never meant to become anything other than a scatch....Same with this one which was done on a paper the size of a postcard...

wow. lol ;p i do the same thng. i paint and i give them as gifts, so with my family, and extended family my painting hangs on their livingroom or bedroom or bathroom lol ;p
some family have big guest bathrooms that look nice and so when i go in there i see my painting. lol

I’m flattered you should ask... but truth be told, all these paintings were no more than mere exercises and the one with flowers is done on a non-archival paper which, in my good conscience, I could not sell! It would be bad practice.
Perhaps one day, in a not so distant future, I’ll stop being so overly critical of my work and finally produce something I’d be happy to accept bribery for! click to expand

Holy. Shit. Are you into horror and mythology? Video games maybe? These are crazy ass doodles. I like the confidence in your anatomy too.

thx...some of that is really old and the anatomy is embarrassingly off. Not all that into horror, only play one video game (Overwatch), and I am into mythology (read Campbell, Eliade, etc.), but I don't think its influenced my drawing at all. Probably my biggest influences and favorites growing up were Derek Riggs (did all the Iron Maiden album art) and Todd McFarlane - drew Spiderman for a while and ultimately Spawn. Love how his work always had a more animated/cartoon-like/exaggerated feel, as opposed to the stiffer/more traditional style of comic art. Into a lot of pop surrealist art now mainly for that reason. You hid your stuff in here and I didn't 'get a chance to see it, but I love the piece you posted front-page earlier today. Looks like a self-portrait also....

I can see where Todd MacFarlane has some influence on you with some of your characters. Especially Spawn. I have a few of those comics lying around that my guy gave me to look through, so I feel I understand the connection now that you brought it up.
So my posts are hidden because I can't seem to get the photos to appear to DXP via mobile, Lol. There isn't anything showing up so I hid them and decided to post it up front. You didn't miss much it was just that one from days back. 😆

Does your dude draw also? Spawn at the time was very original overall IMO - the style , the coloring, everything...highly creative. McFarlane is a Pisces, and just very much outside the box - pushing the envelope w/character design, w/these dynamic poses that no one had ever seen, drawing from these warped/extreme perspectives....Even his brief stint drawing Batman, just in the way he would do his cape was totally original. A lot of comic art is just sort of like using a template and his definitely was not. Anyway, lots of good artists on dxp that don't post their work..would be cool if more did. This Art board doesn't seem to be even in the list of official forums anymore. Have only ever been able to excel in a community when it comes to art work; need inspiration and feedback. Wanting to get back into it more lately and probably need to look around online more...
