What are you doing lately?

I signed up for The Hourglass Workouts with Lyzabeth Lopez just because I like throwing my money away. I say throw my money away because I never finish any of the programs I buy. So, technically I can't share any of the information from her program but we could encourage each other and give each other feedback.

ya know...like all the other fitness related motivation threads that have been created and let die? Why not another.

Shit. I feel embarassed to say to fell off the wagon and currently soft AF. I'm scared to step on the scale, LMAO. 😭....Being self-motivated is hard as hell. But i'll take this as a challenge to get my ass back where it once was.

When I first got with my bf he would try to stop be from going to the gym because he didn't want me to be too hot or too skinny or too whatever he thought the gym was going to do to me... but now I talk about the gym and he's like yeah....go.....have fun. 😆

hint taken

I'm drinking c4 on the go preworkout supplement and it's making me all tingly. I thought I would hate it because I don't like the way caffeine and most preworkout supplements make me feel but the beta alanine is making me feel goooood

I started working out about 5 years ago. I do cardio 3 times a week, at 30 minutes. I do 2 arm workouts, 2 ab workouts, and 2 leg and butt workouts per week. I know some people hate the gym and struggle to keep a routine, but trust me, it is rewarding. Fortunately for me I've never been over weight and I think that makes things easier for me.

I think once you start seeing your abs come in and how tone your body is you'll enjoy the gym more.

I'll never enjoy the gym. I do enjoy being active outdoors though. I don't really workout to maintain any type of physique but it is crucial to my mental well being that I exert all of this martian energy in a physical way.

Nothing.

...Besides regularly working. I average about 5 miles a shift.

I hate working out though. It's so damned boring. It's kind of hilarious considering I got my degree in exercise science, but can't stand working out in itself. Guess it's my Aries energy that gets bored with gyms. Activity based stuff ftw (classes, sport, etc). I've been considering yoga and kickboxing classes lately, though. I am an out of shape athlete, just "soft" as some others have said. I'm still thin, but all my definition be gone. 😢 ...And my cardio blows haha.

But work in itself keeps some baseline of activity for me. Constantly moving and on my feet for 5-7 hours 4-5 days a week.

I did three months of Shaun T's "Insanity." I loved it!

Other than, that yoga periodiically.

Bought a new all in one gym. But, I only like working on my chest while lying on my back or facing the floor. Gravity causes a dividing line when sitting to do the butterfly or lat pull. So, going to get a bench press for that.

...pre work out supplements are garbage. Stop taking that shit. Unless you're one of those athletes in Rio doing some hardcore working out for major performance, you don't need it. If you're getting tingling sensations, you're taking too effing much.

Most people don't even need any of these bullshit supplements you see thrown around at gyms and at "nutrition" shops. It's aaaaall total garbage for the average person. Companies are making a shit ton of money off a majority of the work out population's ignorance. "Hur dur, roid rat over there swears by it and look at him! He's got muscles for miles but his testes are the size of raisins. He MUST know what he's talking about!" (nope)

Protein powders, pre work out crap full of caffeine, etc. All total, very expensive, garbage for most people.

It takes time dear. Be patient. It can take 2-3 months to see significant changes.

^ False.

She doesn't need protein shakes. Most people don't. Please don't speak up on something you clearly know nothing about.

Cardio is just as important as resistance training.

Please take your anecdotal information elsewhere. It's not helping.
