Why People Feel Irritated When Others Reorganize Their Space

Many individuals feel annoyed when others reorganize their belongings because it disrupts their sense of control and personal order. This reaction often stems from a desire for independence and comfort with their own routines. Understanding this can help improve communication and boundaries regarding personal spaces and belongings.

Someone ELSE reorganises your stuff!

Or puts an order to your things in a manner which makes NO sense to you!
This is why I don't organise other people's crap, because I don't want them to ever try to organise mine!!!

The best is not reorganizing their system but screwing with their system period. Like knowing they have something like dishes completely organized and then putting something ever so slightly out of its place 😛

Along these lines...

My Scorpio & I had to work out a series of intricate compromises after she moved in with me, because we each had our "systems" for organizing household shit. Henry Kissinger couldn't have negotiated a better settlement than the one we arrived at: The Kitchen is Hers, while The Garage and Home Office are Mine, with the Great Room serving as a Demilitarized Zone...

Hahahaha, sounds like my future if I end up married.

My scorpio ex would be at someone's house and put odd stuff in odd places....like an action figure in a dishes cupboard or a book inside the piano.

Usually kind of funny when we knew the person well, but a couple of people got cranky about it.

Odd yet amusing.

omg I'm *that* person! 😄

Granted, I only do it to people I'm close to, but I can't stand disorganization! I feel like a savior (if only they felt the same way) when I offer to re-arrange peoples shit, because the poor souls don't yet realize how wonderful and calming organization can really be 🙂
