I’m a Cancer trying to understand a Virgo

My boss is a Virgo. He tends to stare at me a lot, tease me, find reasons to talk to me, brush my shoulder.. stuff like that. I truly think he has feelings for me, but he doesn’t take it to the next step. I think it’s because he can’t because of work? This tension has been going on for about 5 months now. Our co workers say they see him flirting with me so I know I’m not making it up in my head. How can I get this man to trust me? I’d like to at least text outside of work.

Seriously though. Dating in the work place is a big risk. Is there room in the company to transfer if things get serious or it doesn't work out? I almost asked for a transfer because I was serious about her. Unfortunately we did break up and I coincidentally did get transferred later. Keeping a professional relationship at work and close personal on out side of it is not easy.

On a side note. In my 20s I had always enjoyed flirting in the work place. We could really have fun since we know it isn't suppose to go anywhere. Until it hit us that there really was something real there, then things got complicated. We would communicate this realization though jokes. Ended up using the banter as a form of serious communication. 2 people really stick in my memory. One I got serious with, who ended up ghosting me. The other We did not pursue anything but we are pretty compatible. Great respect and love for her and and she is good people. I reach out and check on her at least once a year for the last 5 years. Last time we talked I got preinvited to her possible wedding next year😁
