I kinda view the obsessive trait as a means to say at least they care or cared about you. I mean would they really obsess over someone if they never loved them?
I'm around so many Virgos, and their obsessive nature is not fresh news nor a revelation to me.
For example, I had this Virgo ex-friend, she opened up to me about his high school crush several times. Until now, after everything, she's still obsessing over him. She's had this undying love for him for about 9yrs in a row now. Hitting the tenth mark soon! LMAO props to that, honestly. That's loyalty to a fault and I respect such unshaken love! But then, she tried to get on with my ex while I was in a relationship with him. That didn't last for too long though, she got over it and went back obsessing with her high school crush.
Another one. My former dorm mate, dated this Aries guy for almost 2yrs. They're done for about 2-3yrs now... yet whenever we go out drinking, he's still the same topic she'd nonstop gush about. Somehow, even when she's sober, she doesn't fail to mention him at least once.
I got no qualms about that; such is a natural phase that we all go through (it can be harmful though). Rather, it's their obsession to details and perfection that puts me off sometimes. Useful as it is, but too much obsession on details and perfection is pretty disturbing. Anything 'too much' is unhealthy anyway.
