My dad was very much like that. Never a question of how much he loved his family.
Mine would go on business trips a lot and often would come home late after I had already gone to bed. The next morning there was ALWAYS a treat hidden under the pillow.

Posted by DamnataHe's only trying to teach you right from wrong because he's been there himself! Just chalk it up as a "word from the wise". Just look at him, smile, nod, and say, "You're right dad! You're such a wise man...how did I get SO lucky!? 🤗
I know we had this topic before but I'm too tired right now to find it and update it.
Wanted to show some love.
Just got back home from spending Easter with my father.
We drove around a lot in his car (one of our favorite things to do..just drive in a random direction and discuss life) and he had this portuguese/brazilian music cd on...and he probably noticed I was smiling at one specific song because the next day he had his settings play it on a loop. It's the little things...
We were also having an argument and some heavy criticism on his side about some of my life choices when he suddenly stopped the car and turned towards me "I'm so proud of you, you know it right? I only criticize more than praise because I have to address a small number of things that rile me up...the bulk of them I appreciate and don't need addressing."
He's really weird in that...when people in that village notice I come home they stop me to tell me all the stories my dad told and how I am so awesome...meanwhile I get the brunt of his criticism lmao. It's always a blindside. That and his goddamn trolling Gemini Moon.

Posted by tizianiSo..he got himself this car and was adamant about the license plate spelling LEU ...unfortunately that was taken.
