I'll make it short and sweet. I'd like some suggestions on somthing fun to do for a first date. I don't want to do something romantic because I'd like to get to know this Virgo Guy on a slow pace. Any fun suggestions on things to do during lunch time? We have an iceskating rink...a zoo...a mall. I don't think a movie is cool because I wouldnt be able to talk to him. So do you think lunch will do? Or should I drag him to the harvast fair? Thanks a bunches-ST

oktoberfest!!!!!! or the harvest fair... final answer.

I'm kind of disappointed, I missed oktoberfest here and it would've been the first oktoberfest that I could legally drink at (was the first weekend of october here in central ohio)... but fairs... always a good time.

"Zoos are okay, unless the virgo is sensitive to offensive smells."

Show me a virgo guy who doesn't enjoy the smell of fresh animal droppings... heh (i don't mean that literally)

More like, those smells are natural smells, what's the point of being offended by the smell of animal poo? If the whole world smelled like roses it'd be a rather boring place, no?

Walk in the park is my fav for first... but since it's rainy... 😒 I love ZOO's too! I'd take him to one and buy all sorts of silly things to wear at the little shops! lol

There it is, didn't know the name of 'em. How about going to the nearest lake and renting those aqua cycles! That sounds like fun, relaxing and you could have a nice chat... I'm gonna use this one lol can't believe I hadn't thought of it before hehehe

UPDATE!!!
People in California seem to be scared of the rain, and are notorious for not knowing how to drive in the rain. So the virgo guy let me know he's running late to pick me up because of traffic accidents. I thought it was cool that he let me know because I was getting a little nervous that he hadn't shown up.
Well we ended up having lunch at this place I really like and I could barely eat! I found myself talking about everything. He's really passionate about sports (football, baseball), and I have no clue. He's got such an intense stare, he likes to make eye contact (and that kinda made me nervous). But he's got these amazing eyes...they are a crystal green. Yet, they seemed tired. I wanted to comment about it but I hesitated because I didn't want him to feel self conscious about it. I just have a caring nature. I wanted icecream so we walked over to a Coldstone. Oh-and he didn't hesitate to ask if I wanted to try his icecream. Which is a plus for me. We then went to check out some paintings. I love art...I paint myself. He was very receptive to my remarks on the paintings. He kinda figured out my taste after a few paintings.
Overall-I laughed a lot with him. He's a nice guy. Didn't make me feel unconfortable and didn't make any romantic moves (which was good because I would have freaked). He's kinda quiet-he didn't volunteer information unless I asked. He dropped me off at my place and he kinda suggested that we should "hang out" again. So we'll see. He'll be a great new friend though.

"People in California seem to be scared of the rain"

Why does everyone say that?! LOL It's true though, no one goes out when it rains around here hahahaha

... but I AM a good driver no matter what!
some people are such idiots though, you can't see shit because it's raining so hard and they're driving like mad... there is a lot of accidents during the rainy whether. I'm an exeption though, just to make that clear πŸ˜›

"Good indoor activities for a virguy would be visiting a museum, planetarium and if he's into arts, an art gallery. If he's an athletic type, go indoor rock climbing."

I was gonna say those too! πŸ™‚ Indoor rock climbing, how could I miss that one?!
... dates are so much fun!

he's a Detroit Red Wings fan and I hate Detroit and their sports teams with a passion.

Can't you just not like the teams why the city! Don't knock Detroit unless you live here!

You are hilarious RainingPeanuts!!! Boyfriend...father...grandfather....

Like Toby Keith said "Heeheeeasy now!!!"

I think he is that type of guy, that "nice guy" that will be there for you through thick & thin. I like that he isn't a pushover, and has earned my respect. But I wasn't curious about how he might be in bed!!! Normally, when I'm totally attracted I try to picture it (I can't help it sometimes). Especially since it was raining...I'm usually more sexual on such occasions. I dunno, maybe I'm not ready for aaaaanything. I was simply tryin to enjoy the experience of opening the door to someone new. Trying to date again. I was flattered by him looking at me when I turned away. I caught him and he didn't even try to hide it. That was sexy. But like I said in the beginning of this thread I want to take things slooooooooow.

menaremysteries, okay, I'm sorry for my statements. Let me re-phrase it. I like Detroit and its attractions. I don't like their sports teams though. What I truly meant to say is I hate Detroit teams with a passion.

No problem....trust me we all are frustrated with the lions here! the question we ask is how many penalties will we get this week

Just the opposite of us Detroiters most of us feel strongly positive about the tigers, Pistons and red wings! We also feel strongly about the Lions...especially when you go out and see them partying it up all the time like they're on their way to the superbowl!
