For those who have not posted their real pics...do you not think that you're so hot and worry about what others would say or think?
Or, if the reasons above don't apply to you, please explain (i.e. just don't care to, taking extra security measures etc)

Cool question. Never gave it much thought. Suppose it would be hard to figure out something to represent or reflect myself - what better way than with my own mug? I think people like to put a face to words if they could. Plus on the rare occasion I would want to be taken seriously, it may be easier to pull off with a real face than say... a dancing, blunt-smoking, animal sprite.

Same as in the real world, I guess. Look a certain way, people judge you accordingly. Aaaahh...but we're smarter than that...I will admit that I am guilty of looking at some of these profile pics and have immediately pegged the person as an 'idiot' right off the bat, but then read a post or two, and everything changed.

I always hated that about my quite balanced Libra girlfriend. Whenever I wanted to express anger (or any other negative feeling for that matter) against someone who wronged me, she would always come with this 'cumbaya' shit. So annoying. Especially for a Virgo. I mean with all our pent-up aggression and barely there emotions, to do some shit like that to one of us...discourage us from 'getting it out' is just...just downright evil.

I honestly feel like this too. I like to see what people look like, not for any particular reason. I just enjoy seeing people. Especially expressions, ect. I think they do say a lot about people sometimes. I was also never one who feared getting caught by some kind of predator or something. I guess I just feel I know what to look for and what to avoid, and I never tell anyone my life's story when on the net.
