Why I can't stand Brahn0913

I happen to come across one of his posts on the "Relationships" portion of this site.

"Interracial dating is normally practiced by stupid people trying to make a point or satifying their curiosity about a stereotype. Plus, white women date black men, only because the white woman has a low self esteem or is usually fat, and the black man is a loser most of the time. I go to the mall and see little barbie doll black girls dating these black guys with gold teeth and who talk as if they have never learned first grade grammar. Also fat white women with a low self esteem, they normally date black men. They know that they are undesirable, so they go and date lower tier men as everyone else has standards, unlike black men.


Then of course there are black women, with their big lips and are just overly fat. They are often stupid, but they'll try to date white men and see if they can ride him to fame and fortune. Their black male contemporaries are normally thugged out losers who have never held a job in their lives, so why no try to date the superior race that has more going on for them?


That is the stupidity of interracial dating. Should people stick wit their own? No. Black people shouldn't date black people, because they'll breed and have more incompotent black children. Way to complicated of an issue, and way too depressing if you choose to look at it with more substance. Don't erroneously believe people date interracially because they have an open mind, oftetimes that isn't the case at all."

Branh has NEVER stated that a person with a prejudiced belief that one race was more superior (this is what the average racist projects). Indeed he has spoken negatively along with stating how he believes things could be fixed (this is what most Anti-P.C. people do).

No, people may not agree with his statements, but he doesn't mind debating his opinions either -- which is more then I can say for those who prefer to argue aimlessly or look for ways to push your buttons.

The fact that he is what he is doesn't mean he can't voice his opinions about his own nationality. From what I've read, I didn't really see too many aimless insults. When he discussed the same thing on the Aqua board, his concluding comments were indeed POSITIVE .... they were not all negative.

I have a black male friend who also shares his thoughts in the same way...they are just "expressing" themselves - nothing more and nothing less.

In the scheme of life - does this really matter? is it going to matter in two months? nah...sometimes it is best to pick your battles and the rest...just observe.

His bitterness is towards the female gender, not race. Read between the lines in everything he writes that involves people. There's always an underlying condenscending attitude towards females. Look at the second paragraph that catfish pasted, "Then of course there are black women". It appears as though this one was more racially slanted, but, still, there's the tone, that tone he always takes when thinking about women.

Look at most of his posts, it's women he resents.

I thought that was evident to everyone.

People can only hurt another, if you let them. Everything everybody says can be taken personally, if one chooses. Just a look on the face of a complete stranger can be taken personally, if one chooses. So why take it personally?

Insecurities run deep and they come out in many ways.

A person says something that is taken as a racial slur to another - the other gets offended because they were subjecting themselves on a personal level - the reciever is therefore the one discriminating.

So, in this context, unless you know someone is directing something at you personally, you become the one discriminating and not the speaker.

Some people think universally and so their comments must be taken objectively if you want to converse. Branh's mind is expansive. I don't think anything is wrong with what he said. I don't think anything is wrong with what anybody says, a person can say what they want. It's what is inside, the process in which we base our values and standards that matters.

A person can only be a prick to you if you let them. Self-empowerment is respectful in any form, even when it's ugly. Verses, someone who just wants to be nice and correct, but has no firm ground to plant themselves and must rely on the mercy of others controlling their lives for them - deserves no respect at all.

Which way you go, any of us go, is a choice. Just as it's a choice not to listen to another. If it's offensive, so be it - you didn't have to listen.

Yep, but, they're not readable. At least, not to the person who doesn't appreciate satire.

To say that you can't stand someone, simply because they are different, is pretty severe. I pound on people all the time, but, to say that I can't stand them, maybe, even hate them . . . wow, that's intense.

One thing, I not only can stand about him, but, also respect and admire is that he isn't emotionally responsive, like the majority of the rest of us. He thinks things out thoroughly before he answers (most of the time). Perhaps, his answers are light, perhaps, they are dark - but, they are for sure from within a person who knows who he is. A person can babble all day long, and say nothing with substance. Everything he says comes from a feeling within him, not just a superficial reaction that just bounces off and has no merit.

A deep person, even if they are dark and disturbing, is better than a shallow one who has sugar-coated themselves to appear sweet.

You are a good person, you've proved yourself over and over again to everyone how mature and outstanding of a person you are inside. And, the person you are has absolutely nothing to do with the color of your skin. However, that is information that you believe people should know as they process your character.

Here, you would allow your integrity to be stepped on because of a thin spot in your skin. It doesn't matter, Aprilbaby. It doesn't matter what he, or anybody else says to you, about you, around you. What matters is how you percieve yourself and that you know that inside, you are an awesome person. What is on the outside means nothing. And this issue, right here, not what Branh said, but, how you would allow yourself to be subject to something you perceive is demeaning.

Not saying that you don't have a right to view something right or wrong. What I'm saying is that you allow yourself to be that black women who is, whatever he said, by accepting this as an assessment of you because something that is on the outside. That's f-up, Aprilbaby. That's like saying I am useless as a wife because my first husband beat me up all the time. I now have to make the claim that I'm an abused person. That's crazy. Yet, we would then yell that one is done personally. Before my first marriage, I never helped a woman being beat by their husband because I was taught that that was the way life is. Then, when I fell prey, I screamed bloody murder. Hypocracy !!!!!! Never in this lifetime, will I allow this in my life again - I've empowered myself and made the claim that I have the same rights as anyone else. And, if I let someone take this away from me, then I've disgraced myself - someone else hasn't dishonored me - I did it to myself.

Life doesn't just happen, we have to make who we are. If we truly believe in our hearts that we are all created equal and that's how we live, then that is our reward - equality - because we made it so. Someone else isn't going to do it for us. White's aren't going to make blacks equal - we, all of us have to make it so. I am going to be equal to other people, because I will it so, for myself.

I know that that probably sounds pretentious coming from the person who doesn't think twice about stepping on people's toes - but, that's the key word here, "people". Not one person in here is treated worse, or better by me because of their race. You screw up, I'll ream 'ya, no matter what religion, race, or origin you claim.

I agree Tiamat. I went to the board where this was orginially posted and read the whole thing. Catfish only brought over a fraction of the conversation. He wasn't talking about himself, or the other people in the conversation. He was talking from the worlds perspective and how some people are viewed.

I am not really sure why people find hate and hostility funny. Either they are really stupid or really naive.

If you can't matter in a positive way, you might as well matter in a negative one.
