It was the moment of truths
I called my wife earlier, and asked her to meet me at our favorite spot in downtown Atlanta, it was across from midtown Trane station, where in side of a shopping plaza sat cozy little restaurant.
She loved going there because the traffic was always light , and service by the staff, always gave us a homey down south hospitality vibe. Which is hard to get now since Atlanta has gotten so big , the city life and grind mentality has over shadow my mini New York city.
I stood across the street in front of the Escalator steps, knowing she was waiting for me,
probably sitting at the same spot,
with a hot cup of Chi tea mildly sweet just like she preferred.
Should I turn around and leave, is what I thought to myself, given all the mess that played out this week. I should just wait,
what's 1 more week, or month .
I haven't fully forgiven her anyway in head I haven't, but who am I kidding, Forgiveness like I'm perfect, I crossed the same threshold of infidelity, well at least I slide to second base, never the least it was a home run, I just fumbled and missed opportunity at home plate.
I decided to turn around
I'll tell her something came up, she always believed me, we can reschedule for next time a better day.

I walked into the restaurant, the florescent lights dimmed down from over use and natural wear, as I entered walking over a wet floor sign placed at the entrance doorway, I almost slipped but caught my self from the fall by reaching my hand out and feeling somebody pull me back, this stranger who ever he or she was, saved me. I turned around it and was my wife, she greeted men becarful baby, it seemed she has always been there to catch me when I fall, I didn't mean for it to be literal but it
was the best description I could compose. I hugged her, I kissed her, I couldn't spend another day of my life with out my wife, she looked back at me and said "so this means u forgive me, with teary eyes, I said "yes, I love you and I want you back home with me
We stood in the middle of the restaurant holding each other.
But I before we continue I had to come clean about my dirt.
I pulled my hands from around her body , she said just hold me, I want to remember us like this forever,I said I will, but I need to tell you something first.
I took her by the hand and guided her to the seat in the back next to window, she sat on the opposite side of me, I looked in to her big beautiful eyes and felt every single bit of pain I put her thru for her infidelity with no remorse, yet I committed the same sin , the same act in this new chapter of our lives. She may have cheated 10 years in the past but foolishly enough cheated 10 years in the future, if this is karma, it wasn't worth it.
I took in 3 short breathes
I told her it's something that happened, it's a secret that I have kept and I feel awful about it, and I know if I hold it in, it will eat me up inside.
Before I could reply
She reached out her hands out and grabbed mines, and said "baby it's OK, I understand Mistakes happen, we are human, I know I'm not perfect baby, but u love me any way, and that's why I love you so much, I know it's secrets about you I'm not met to know or ever will, and there are secrets about me I can never tell you, because they are a
