I'm currently working on a story and I'm kind of having writer's block. I get stuck editing the little bit I have so far--about 20 or so pages of work, but the dialogue is bothering me a bit, so I feel compelled to work on that more. So fellow writers, what are things that trip you up when writing and how do you get past them?
Writing a story
Sorry about the repeats, my phone messed up.

First of all, just write. Don't critique. None. Just write, write, write.
Most important who's your characters?
Who's your main character? What's his/her goals? Make sure he/she goes after it.
Who's the bad guy/gal? Make sure he/she tries to stop the main character.
After you finish writing your story then you can critique.
Now you have something to work with.

Excellent advice, I am guilty of this xx
